McCann just told burnsy that the club have accepted a substantial bid for one of our players would not say who,but apparently not KLP/jordy
I don't get the Sheaf thing, we've seen him twice this season and he's not looked up to it. If you're comparing Slater to C Jones, I'd understand it a lot more
the fact he mention a substantial bid, I'm wondering if it might be Batty,he did mention that the player needed game time and was keen to go
Could be James Scott. Doesn't seem to have worked out for him at city and he could be the replacement at Hibs as they are selling their striker Kevin Nisbet. Maybe the move back to Scotland suits Scott if it is him.
We won’t get a substantial bid for Batty, it’s quite clear that McCann doesn’t rate him and he’s out of contract in a few months. Scott or Samuelsen far more likely.
If its a substantial bid, I highly doubt you'd play him in the EFL Trophy and potentially scupper it. Only notable absentee to fit the bill was MS tonight. Although, McCann said it was substantial, its probably only £100k
What do define as substantial in our current status. Most clubs in league one might count 500k to 750k as substantial which is nothing when we look back on the sale of bowen maguire etc
Lay off Eavesy. My Mackem boss said to me tonight they'd have lost if Eaves had stayed on, thought he caused them all kinds of problems on Saturday. Amazing difference in perspective.
200-300k for a fringe player? Confirmed he hadn't been playing so not an exit which will 'disrupt anything'.
Probs depends what we class as substantial these days? Scott was told in the summer he could leave if we got the fee we paid for him back. So possibly...
If it is him, that wouldn't be a huge blocker for it, lots of players own more then one property. When they move on from an area, it's not uncommon to rent the house they leave to another player that's either currently at the club or a new player coming in etc
