A nurse in South Wales tested positive for Covid on 8th January.
He should have had his second Pfizer jab on the 5th January, but it was cancelled.
We know that the first vaccine only gives partial protection from the virus, so is this a warning, especially where frontline staff are concerned, that the jabs MUST be given in accordance with the manufacturers data?
It takes a couple of weeks to work fully anyway doesn't it?
Ah, true. My bad, but then it will have been 3 weeks since the first, which emphasises that partial protection might not cut it.
Yeah I wasn't neccesarily disagreeing with you, just checking my memory was right.
Do we know if they're symptomatic? As I don't think it stops you catching it either.
So far as l know vaccinated people can carry and transmit the virus. Hence the need for a comprehensive accurate and reliable test trace and isolate program which is conspicuous by it's absence despite billions being spent.Yeah I wasn't neccesarily disagreeing with you, just checking my memory was right.

Ah yes that'd be the one. The one that along with vaccinations and treatments (good news here https://www.bbc.com/news/health-55639096) would be the cornerstone of ongoing virus management in the future. It's not going away, has to be lived with.Is that the world beating T&T system that would be ready by last June at the cost of £22bn?
Reuters Next about to do a session with Anders Tegnell and Neil Ferguson. Should be interesting. I'll listen in and report back.
