nailed it. government should say a big **** you to councils and just crack on and bring a law In like the US banning alcohol consumption on the streets. That would stop the punks with their cheap cider spreading their filth.
Some London councils did try bringing in stricter rules and the government threatened them with legal action. This shouldn't be about Councils v Government though. There are people on both sides trying to score political points out of this and none of it helps. You're 100% right about it being down to people acting like idiots. And there is a lot of it going on. Some of it is blatant, but a lot of people who are mostly following the rules still think "well this one time won't hurt" and maybe meet up with friends or family members that don't strictly fall within their bubble. We all need to take this far more seriously. However, some people need to wake up and start taking it seriously in the first place instead of looking for conspiracy theories or excuses to stretch the rules.
One of neighbours, about 4 houses down had her daughter around this morning. Bearing in mind the neighbour lives with her husband and young son and the daughter lives in another household with her fiancee. First day of tier 4 and that happens. If she goes back I am shopping them.
Mi have similar across the road. Every day a different car rocks up.. she’s either on the game or giving zero ****s about everyone else.
Saw this yesterday. There is a right to protest and then there is bs like this. Every person in that video should be identified and charged with endangering public health. Fines are pointless. Stuff like this needs to have consequences. Criminal records.
The PL need to make an example of someone here and ban them for the remainder of the season with the threat of anyone else found guilty of it facing the same sanctions...****ing dickheads.
These overpaid twats are meant to be setting an example. In fact they are giving thickos a paper thin excuse to do the same (in their own minds).
Now if only there was someone who Boris Johnson could've made an example of right at the beginning........
WOAH there, hold your horses. You're not allowed to highlight factual hypocrisy so please roll for your counter comment of choice: 1 - Remoaner 2 - Left-wing Looney 3 - It's only because Cummins got under your skin 4 - Snowflake 5 - Project Fear 6 - No actually you're the racist because... reasons
If they were just given automatic bans for 5 games for a first offence and then for the rest of the season for a second offence I don't see where the arguments would be coming from.
There's nowt like a CovidSmokingIdiot - I popped into my local Asda this morning. A woman (in her 60s) was standing outside puffing insouciantly on a cancer stick. The mild breeze that was present meant I had to walk through a tunnel of passive smoke to get into the store. I waited a few seconds in the vain hope that she wouldn't exhale thus allowing me unhindered access. However, much to my obvious disgust, she just puffed away, desperate for her nicotine hit. I thought **** it and pinched my nose as I walked in. I saw her ten minutes later in the store, where she was wearing a lanyard, presumably to say she didnt need to wear a mask in-store. Oh the smoker irony
I won't go through but I assume these all peer reviewed studies? Can't read any of those, think you must be signed up to it. I have read a peer reviewed study though that suggested there was very limited benefit if any. I assume there are other counter studies that say the same thing. I suppose it all depends which scientist you choose to believe. It also depends how you interpret each study, again a subjective thing as borne out by the Danish study into mask use. Seems to be common theme throughout this 'pandemic' Maybe less condescending is a good way to go. But again this is what we have with this situ. I know I'm right about this so **** off all other opinions.
