I have no idea of the truth of it, but on the face of it, this doesn't read well.

"Amid a sputtering vaccine rollout and fears of a new and potentially more transmissible variant of the coronavirus, Britain has quietly updated its vaccination playbook to allow for a mix-and-match vaccine regimen. If a second dose of the vaccine a patient originally received isn’t available, or if the manufacturer of the first shot isn’t known, another vaccine may be substituted, health officials said.

The new guidance contradicts guidelines in the United States, where the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has noted that the authorized Covid-19 vaccines “are not interchangeable,” and that “the safety and efficacy of a mixed-product series have not been evaluated. Both doses of the series should be completed with the same product.”

Some scientists say Britain is gambling with its new guidance. “There are no data on this idea whatsoever,” said John Moore, a vaccine expert at Cornell University. Officials in Britain “seem to have abandoned science completely now and are just trying to guess their way out of a mess.”

We don't even mix puppy vaccination brands in this country so I doubt we'll start experimenting on humans.

Just read his tweets
When I’m busy at work I don’t have time to text.
I understand it’s a different world these days but just get on with your job mate instead of lecturing us all.
It’s important that people know what is happening in hospitals, mega important to doctors. And there is a sense in the medical world that the media aren’t reporting the full situation. That’s worth two minutes of his time while having a coffee break, I imagine.

I think people are aware already. let’s hope he follows up on his some very young text!

The Doctor at the Royal London, that Dutch posted from Twitter, must have a lot of coffee breaks. She’d have a better chance of spreading the message about how much pressure they were under, if she wasn’t posting 30 to 50 tweets a day.

Tottenham have criticised three of their players for breaching coronavirus rules by attending a party over Christmas.

A picture on social media shows Argentina forward Erik Lamela, Spain defender Sergio Reguilon and Argentina midfielder Giovani lo Celso at a party.

"We are extremely disappointed," Tottenham said in a statement.

West Ham have also reminded Argentina forward Manuel Lanzini, who also attended, of his responsibilities.

Lamela and Lo Celso were not involved in Saturday's Premier League game at home to Leeds (12:30 GMT), while Reguilon - who joined from Real Madrid in September 2020 - was on the substitutes' bench.

The Spurs statement added: "We strongly condemned the image showing some of our players with family and friends together at Christmas, particularly as we know the sacrifices everybody around the country made to stay safe over the festive period.

"The rules are clear, there are no exceptions, and we regularly remind all our players and staff about the latest protocols and their responsibilities to adhere and set an example.

"The matter will be dealt with internally."

Lamela has made two Premier League starts this season while Lo Celso has made four.

Lanzini has featured in nine of West Ham's 17 top-flight games in 2020-21 and came on as a substitute in Friday's 1-0 win at Everton.

It's a pet hate of mine, those ****s who take their alcohol/drug fueled **** into hospitals where people are trying hard to help the ill/injured.

I was at Hull Royal with my Dad many times when he was ill.

On one occasion, I'd been sat by his 'trolleyside' for 8 hours and needed a ***.

I went outside the front entrance to smoke.

****: giz a *** mate.

Kemps: Sorry mate, I've only got two and I'll be here all night.

**** shouting : JUS GIV A FUFKIN ***!

I was feeling somewhat tense, so....

Kemps : Oh you're welcome looking for trouble. In that case you've found it. Look them In the eye.

**** gives it ten seconds and then.... ****er! and walks away to a round of applause from the onlookers.

Hospital staff should be armed with with tasers!

Up the NHS!

Seems a lot of foreign names in this article.
Presumably they have some form of visa.
They should be deported.

Public Health England have just clarified that the vaccines shouldn’t be mixed.

I was talking to a nurse yesterday who said whilst HRI is busy, it’s not busy with Covid cases and those are decreasing day by day.

It may be a good sign for our cases per 100k as that has dropped the last few days and may continue to do so.

Why start with only a Taser

Following another government U-turn of them deciding all London primary schools will start the term at home (after choosing only some areas originally) , this news has broke.

I tend to agree, although I had a ****ing hilarious night in there people watching when I had to go after getting injured playing rugby.
Highlight was a woman probably in her 70’s with a massive beehive hairdo, dressed really smartly (if a little retro) who was in there because she’d been fighting in Reindeer and her pace maker had slipped...who got bored so pulled out a harmonica and serenaded us all!

*I realise that won’t have been funny for staff who probably see her regularly, but it was funnier to me than the usual drunks

I wonder if I've heard her sing? One night sat in a curtained off cubicle with Dad, some old girl started singing some old old song.

Two of the staff clearly knew the song and joined in perfect harmony. I took a sneaky look and it was the old girl, a nurse and a and a Janitor. Dad loved that, it put a rare big smile on his face. He talked about that for weeks.

It may seem like a small thing, but it goes to show how much these people care.
