It's a Latin word - coined by Roman poet Horace around 19BC in his poem Ars Poetica, to describe a particular length of something.
Which ex-Watford player, who had two spells at the club said this? "I didn’t stop playing until I was 55 when I had to have a new hip!"
I think this is my first Watford hero, Dennis Bond. There was an interview with him on one of the fan sites (BSaD?) which I read when I was not quite 55. It encouraged me to get my ankle fixed properly (long story).
Anything to do with similar names? Xisco is short for Francisco Nadal's wife is known as Xisca - short for Francisca.
