    It's a Latin word - coined by Roman poet Horace around 19BC in his poem Ars Poetica, to describe a particular length of something.

    I think this is my first Watford hero, Dennis Bond. There was an interview with him on one of the fan sites (BSaD?) which I read when I was not quite 55. It encouraged me to get my ankle fixed properly (long story).
