Quickie, in the absence of anything too obscure:
What is polytetrafleuroethylene more commonly known as? I think I've spelt the word correctly, it's acronym is not the answer I'm looking for though it's quite well known as that.

The film about Dupont and teflon poisoning is a much watch.............................
Teflon is correct, aka PTFE. I used to sell the raw material and also make machined components from the stock plate, rod and tube. Difficult to work with, very soft and would "move" as it was heated from the tool tip.
