Cheers Fez. In a similar vein to Yorkie's last question. A run of 17 in a row came to an end last week - what was it ?
The previous record was held by Manchester United, but has now been broken by a European Club. United managed 16 in a row.
I thought this was quite easy - it has to do with the Champions League and one club in particular. The club actually broke the existing record playing in Denmark.
One person has been involved in setting both of these records. Firstly as a goalkeeper and then as a CEO.
You're getting a lot closer BB. That is the person connecting the two. In fact I can give it to you. Between 2007 and 2010 Man. Utd set a record of 16 consecutive matches unbeaten away from home in the Champions League when Edwin van der Sar was their goalkeeper. He is now the CEO at Ajax Amsterdam - they have recently beaten this record by going 17 matches unbeaten away from home in the CL. This sequence began at Nice in 2017 and was concluded at Midtylland (Denmark) during this years group phase - with the sequence ending in their unfortunate 0-1 defeat at Anfield. This run also included visits to Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Juventus, Valencia, Benfica, Spurs and Chelsea. Unfortunately their home record was not so impressive. Over to you.
