Lets appoint a blokes that failed at his previous positions, despite having more money that ever before.
Yup, can’t wait

to be clear, I don’t want Johnson. My point was that I don’t just want an appointment that is “oh wow look at how rich we are now”.

People need to not get carried away with the fact he’s a billionaire. Pompey’s owner is filthy rich and they’ve done very little with it.

Abit gutted if true last week, the didn’t want to take the money out

would they have a choice if it was paid back?

they played a game (quite rightly) and it didn’t pay off. Which is gutting. But they’ll have known this might happen.

i guess they can be as interested as they like but if KLD writes them a cheque for £9m they become powerless.

They were big boys trying to gamble and play a game with Donald and it’s not come off. They’ll shrug their shoulders and move on to the next one :(
FPP were asked to renegotiate the repayment terms and politely declined. Sounds like someone has gone for the early repayment option, which of course comes with penalty clauses $$$. Regardless of that financial sting in the tail, little don will be a relieved man as FPP absolutely had his pants down over the terms of the loan.

Soz like, but if the new owners first attempt to impress us, is by appointing Lee F*cking Johnson, they can just get F&^*ed with the other two clowns.

Lee Johnson man, just let that sink in. More of a nomark than PP, in terms of his CV.

I was just coming round to the Cowley's bros. and thinking "Be positive, just give them a chance", even though I wasn't keen but this potential appointment. :emoticon-0173-middl

Have you heard the absolute ****e patter that comes out of Johnsons mush? He just opens his gob and bullshit falls out of it.

I've never given the ITK's on any board any stick and never would, coz I know they post their info in good faith and I always appreciate it :emoticon-0148-yes:, but FFS, if LJ is appointed surely it alerts you all that Tweedle Dumbf*ck and Tweedle D1ckhead are still having a serious input into the clubs affairs.

It's like a ****ing rollercoaster this, I'm up one minute feeling all positive and then just thinking FFS the next.

:headbang:

I do agree with the frustration. That being said I'm not really sure who we could appoint. We've tried for a fairly big "name" in Poyet. Once that falls through its a case of how many people would drop to this level. I don't get the impression that KLD will be an abramovich type (if he was even able to with the wage cap and the likes) so I doubt they'll throw huge money at a manager.

It's a big risk for anyone to drop to this level. They might buy into the project, but if it were to fail they've got a major league one failure on their CV. Attracting someone who we'd all think is good won't be easy at all. In some ways the best we can hope for is an unknown foreign coach who might be class, but that's no guarantee either, plenty will come here and fail. I'm fully expecting to be underwhelmed but ultimately we need to give it time and see how things progress regardless of who the manager is.

Whilst CM was full of ****, and the “piss take party” hadn’t stopped when they took over, just shifted to them, he was right about how managers, players and agents saw Sunderland as a place to get easy money.

we need to absolutely fight against anyone thinking that again, which there’s a very high risk of happening if the new owner starts splashing out on big names that are clearly just in league one for the money.

The growth needs to be sustainable, considered and confident. The money should give us the edge in negotiations for the right players / staff - not attract otherwise completely unattainable ones. Otherwise it will be fun for a while but end in tears.

And to make myself clear I don’t want another failure, I’d rather have the hipster brothers, at least they have achieved something.
And I don’t really want them..

Don't think it really matters what the press or outsiders think. We're all confident there's a takeover so we can be happy that whoever is appointed has got the nod from Kyril and Juan.
It does matter though, because if the takeover had been signed off, there is absolutely zero reason why it wouldn't be announced.

Doubt there's ever been a football manager who hasn't failed at some level. Sometimes, the same as teams and players, they are just the right fit and at the right time. That could be the case this time, who knows. Not a fan of Johnson or Cowley's and would like a bigger name but our recent past should tell you it doesn't always work.

I'm 46 and have been playing 'video games' since 1978. My dad still thinks it's a thing little kids do, and takes every opportunity to tell me so. I have 3 things I take seriously, my family, SAFC and gaming. Mrs Gromit (No) realised very early on not to interfere with SAFC or Gaming. In fact, she's bought me the PS5 for xmas.
I’m 43 and will still be playing when I’m a pensioner. We’ve grown up with games and seen how they have evolved, why give up now when they are even better in some ways!

And what does coming on here whinging contribute to the forum, nothing. Three of your last four posts are moaning about this board or RTG, why do you believe people care about what's bothering you.

It's posts like yours that clog the place up, if you want better content why not try posting some instead of treating the place like a news service. Boo hoo that you have to put in all that effort reading posts you don't like, must be awful for you.

The majority of the forum is great and people talk about football, argue but don't fall out as it's been for years. Ironically it's posts like yours that sometimes makes the place like RTG.

Edit: I've just been back through the last 100 posts and there's absolutely no one bickering, not one person.

So you're totally wrong, in fact it makes me wonder if you're deliberately trying to cause trouble, who are you on RTG.

Sound, so its the person who isn't bickerings fault for others bickering :emoticon-0102-bigsm. You're incredibly confrontational mind.
