Usual suspects out in force today, I expect Corbyn's brother to grandstand his usual arrest...

Two men fined after travelling to Greenock to use sunbeds

TWO men flouted Covid-19 restrictions - to get some sun in Greenock.

Police caught the pair by stopping their vehicle at 8pm on Wednesday on High Street.

Officers established that they had travelled into Inverclyde from Glasgow, a tier four restricted area, to go for a sunbed.

They received fixed penalty notices for breaching coronavirus regulations.

This is great banter from the government. Fair play.

....there was I thinking the vaccine rollout plan would have been sorted a few months ago, and all the preparations would be in place, all we need is the vaccine. Still, a week is all we need to get this spot on, isn’t it? We’re great at this kind of stuff.

He’s this week’s example of loyalty to the cult over competence. Chances are there’ll be a better example within the next seven days though so he can just be the weekend’s example.

Yeah that’ll be it. Not like they’ve made a complete hash of everything so far while siphoning off billions for cronies causing thousands of unnecessary deaths and one of the worst economic declines in Europe.

It's just boring rhetoric now Watford. We have been hit by a pandemic and some are just trying to score political points at every opportunity. Funny thing is there wasn't much in the way of congratulations with the Oxford breakthrough but plenty of government bashing from certain quarters? Just goes to show that some are just anti everything this government tries to do. Maybe sir flip flop Wooden could have made better decisions on the pandemic?... Oh yeah he couldn't even make a decision on the antisemite could he? Dithered over that as well. Still I'm sure 6 people on here speak for the nation.

You really need to go back on your flounce from the politics thread if you’re going to bring up Starmer as some sort of mitigation for your 80 seat majority Party’s crashing of the economy and inability to protect its citizens while celebrating them achieving the bare minimum after months of spaffing money and killing people.

What happened to Starmer's Circuit break? That all went a bit quiet didn't it. Maybe he saw the results in Wales and flipped onto something else?

He’s the leader of an opposition to an 80-seat majority government. If you refuse to call out the incompetence and corruption of the people actually in charge, killing people and crashing the economy in the process, then you don’t get to move the discussion on to having a go at the bloke who followed the scientific advice.

So you can't answer the question?
Truth is Watford, you just moan about everything this government does. Agree they have made mistakes but you spend your life knocking them.
I saw your comments about the 'vaccine and people singing rule Britannia'? Why are so anti British? This has been a great achievement by our scientists. We should be applauding them not knocking them.
The reason we have so many deaths is because people ignored the guidelines. Look at the amount of idiots on that march in London. The reason we are skint is because the government has spent loads of money on Furlough, PPE and just about everything this is to try and stop this disease. The reason we are also skint is because the country is not working at full capacity. Are you now saying we should all return to normality? As for science I have seen/heard 30 different opinions on Covid and what we should do. Finally, your obsession with. government contracts is ridiculous. Are you saying that some company in Australia, China or the Philippines are somehow a tory donor, so they got contracts? Utter rubbish.

Tier strategy in tatters before its reintroduced, the day after Gove lays it on heavy, Johnson collapses under pressure from troglodyte Tory MPs upset about the tier that their area is in. More relaxations on 19 December, more deaths in January. Bravo, you weak, brainless, useless, chinless ****ers.

    Who said lower than vermin?

The reason we have had such a bad second wave of the virus is that your government promised a world-beating test and trace system but gave us one that failed utterly, whilst begging people to go back to work and paying them to eat out.

    Read the Reuters report.

    https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/health-coronavirus-britain-newwave/

    A £12 billion farce.

This is such an embarrassing car crash of a response even by your standards after a year of defending the indefensible but I’ll do you the courtesy of responding to each point in this garbled mess of jingoism and just plain falsehoods.

So you can't answer the question?
Firstly, the absolute gall of you accusing anyone of that. Secondly, we’ll never know what would have happened had the government followed the scientific advice. Their chosen route has led to confusion about what and why people can and can’t do, in-fighting in your Party and another 600 or so deaths a day weeks on from lockdown starting.

I saw your comments about the 'vaccine and people singing rule Britannia'? Why are so anti British?

I mocked the idea vaccines would have to be printed with a Union Jack. How pointless is that? If it delays the rollout by a minute or adds a penny to the cost then is it really worth it? I’m not anti-British. I’m anti-exceptionalism and anti-fascism. I’d expect one of the other right wing crybabies to make the dumb Trumpian connection between blindly backing a government out of its depth and patriotism but not you. I’m not knocking any scientists at all who I doubt give a **** about a flag being printed on a vial.

The reason we have so many deaths is because people ignored the guidelines. Look at the amount of idiots on that march in London. The reason we are skint is because the government has spent loads of money on Furlough, PPE and just about everything this is to try and stop this disease.

Nothing to do with treating the virus as an economic opportunity at the start then? Nothing to do with sitting there for months as it got closer then having to do a u-turn when it turned out ignoring the problem was actually due to kill hundreds of thousands of people? Or ignoring actual medical suppliers in favour of random newly-formed businesses and companies with the right Tory connections and middle men. We’ve thrown a ****load of money at it for a terrible return which is kind of inevitable when you put people with no experience nor ability in charge of the whole operation. We clearly aren’t that skint though as we’ve pledged billions more for Defence but as always decisions are made for the Tory membership rather than the vast majority of the country and those jingoistic ****s will ****ing love that so it happens.

Are you saying that some company in Australia, China or the Philippines are somehow a tory donor, so they got contracts? Utter rubbish.

The **** are you on about? You don’t justify all the billions wasted on nothing because some contracts along the way actually did go to proper businesses. As ever, governments don’t get applauded for occasionally doing the bare minimum.

I listened to some fella on Sophie 'I sound like a lefty undergraduate' Ridge this morning who said only 46 people under the age of 40 (without underlining issues) have died of covid in the UK in total. He also added that 1300 students tested positive for Covid last week and none went to hospital.

Yeah the report sounds bad... nearly as bad as two of the contributors Ryan McNeill and Stephen Grey. If they can write anymore anti government articles they may as well walk around saying we hate tories. Give me something decent to read please.
