Chris Kavanagh is the referee while David Coote is going to look after VAR after his disastrous performance in the Merseyside derby. FA can't get it !.

My God, look at that midfield <yikes>

Get Tsimi at LB, move Milner to RCM and get Keita on the bench!

Possibly one of our biggest issues that I'm not sure ive seen mentioned is the lack of being able to press with intensity.

In a normal season id be less worried about our defence. In the past we could be all over the opposition from the kick off, defend from the front, unfortunately this takes a massive amount of energy and excerpts a physical toll on the players.

With rest time its ok, but there is no rest, I can see alot of clubs abandoning the press for this season at least as the intensity is just to much.

Dropping back and soaking up pressure may be the order of the day.

I don't think we have a choice but to do it because we have to drop our defence deeper because we have lost a lot of pace with VVD and Gomez being out.

Defence dropping deeper means that the midfield and attack also needs to drop deeper to ensure we keep compact.

This is why I think Thiago could be crucial because he can help keep possession and make the opposition run around.

I understand that people are very excited about thiago, but an awful lot seems to have been pinned on a lad that has only played a few minutes.

There is a good possibility he may well be ****e in this league.

He's played around 130 odd mins for us - and he's looked good so far :) Haven't been this excited to see someone play since .... Fernando Torres?

There's absolutely no chance he doesn't do well in the prem, the man's been an elite baller his whole life.

Anyways<whistle>

Sorry, a superstar in a foreign leagues has never come to these shores and been a let down. Sorry I forgot.

The hype around naby and the Hype around thiago are very very similar.

I'm not saying he will not make it, but the expectancy that he will just slot in and be exceptional may be misplaced.
