Was told today by a reasonably good source that the Oxford vaccine will be ready in 2 weeks. The main advantage of this vaccine is that it does have to stored at low temperatures, so could be given by local GP’s.
I have no link, so of course could be BS?

It’s all about the timing. With a trade deal looking more and more unlikely, Cummings bails out before the **** hits the fan!!
I don’t buy that he’s walked of his own free will tbh.

Something is going off behind the scenes of No.10.

Saffy lost someone this week, i lost an Aunt also (i wasn't that close).

I'm just getting a bit dubious now as to what they are putting down to Covid deaths.

We've had 15 confirmed cases at out place last month, and 5 so far this month.

Numbers not extreme, but consider that we lose at least 2;/3 people for every case due to car sharing, working together etc.

And i'm in all weekend<laugh>. Bones of our arse...Supported by anyone who wants a job:headbang:

Lots of evidence piling up that masks can put non infected people more at risk of infection. (UK data shows increases in cases in all but one place that had mask mandates) Spain's first mask mandate preceded a huge rise in cases

Pick up the virus on a surface in a public space or transport. Touch your moist mask to give the COVID the perfect breeding ground and a direct path to your respiratory system, as in into your nose and mouth and into your throat and lungs.

When mask mandates are in play and almost everyone's got one on, and the social distancing, and even lock downs, and cases start incrementally increasing, it's not plausible that masks increase droplet driven infection spread.

The big dip in cases in summer, was because of summer, clear skies and sunlight was a mass disinfectant of shared public spaces and surfaces as well as people's clothes hands and faces.
The drop during the summer months had nothing to do with lockdowns and masks

<laugh>

I wore a mask for two days... and I'm sick today

I've been fine all year.

Might be onto something.

here many wearing their own masks, some knitted <doh> Cotton single layer masks or worse, knitted ones dont even stop the aerosols and create a disgusting breeding ground for bacteria

If sick people wear masks, there is no reason for non sick people to wear them.

The bottom bit about the warning re medical staff, those are better 2 layer masks, most of the public are using a haphazard mix of all sorts of ineffective masks
I'd say contact spreading, surfaces and person to person, ie shops, public transport, things like that.

fyi the rate of healthy people dying out of total estimates cases globally.. about 0.00000something %, not worked it out, but it's lotto win type odds
