Still signing on is he not? Lincoln's new manager seems to be taking them even further. No doubt the carrot harvest around Lincoln will be collected even quicker as motivated locals work faster, and jester hat sales are soaring..
Stevenage away eminently doable by train on the East Cast main line.- shame. Would have been a case of book early to avoid extortionate ****ish prices
Sorry, missed out 'ex' if front of Lincoln manager. He and his brother turned Hull City down don't you know.
Shame we can't go. New ground tick and easy to get to. On the downside finding a decent pub in Stevenage is well nigh impossible.
I've visited their ground, and there's a decent pub very nearby, home and away (Plymouth)fans admitted when I visited. From memory Sonny Bradley scored for Plymouth that day.
To many injuries and maybe not as good as he promised, but I guess there's loads like that. Anyone remember Michael Johnson at man city? Looked excellent for half a season. Then sank without trace.
He just got really fat and ****, it wasn't much of a mystery. He also crashed his car and had numerous drink driving charges. He turned up at Leicester for a bit while I was at uni and he was bloody awful. Waste of talent for sure, he's still only 32 and if he'd got himself in shape he could probably do a bit of a job in non-league, but I doubt he will now. He suffered badly with mental health too, which led to him leaving football and retiring early. please log in to view this image That was in 2013, I dread to think what he looks like now.
Last time I went to Stevenage it was to see Pink Floyd at Knebworth. From nemory. Linda Lewis, Roy Harper, captain beefheart, Steve Miller band, were on the bill. John Peel read out the football results.
