I actually, like you, thought he was a reasonable prospect, but others thought differently apparently. I've watched a lot of our u23's when he was playing, and I also was surprised when they let Adam Curry go, I really thought he would make the grade, but something happened after being in favour, he played in Kenya, he suddenly disappeared off the scene and then was announced he had been released.
It was a very good idea, poach players from the U23s of a much bigger club who had no chance of breaking into the first team. We've done it this season with Alfie Jones, but I'd like to see us go back to it again.
Ahem. I have just realised I confused Ritson with Jordan Hickey. He was the one who looked good. Not against Leeds though, it was against Leicester U21s in the EFL Trophy. So all in all, not great. Anyway, he should have gone out on loan. That is all.
Was always a fan of his, wasn’t given enough chances to play as a striker even though his best games for us seemed to come from there. I remember QPR (I think) he scored a great goal and had a good game as he was the only available striker then next game put on the bench as an impact left winger. Hopefully this move works out well for him.
Hasn't he been back there a while? He left LAFC a while back because he wanted to be home with family I thought.
Forest have lost their appeal to sign Kamil Grosicki after the arbitration hearing on Tuesday. Grosicki will now return to West Brom and is to be included in their Premier League squad.
What happened with Turbo, I thought W Brom had done a deal with a Greek club, who were then going to loan him to Forest. So I would have thought he was now a Greek player?
Keane Lewis-Potter is close to agreeing terms on a new deal, hopefully it's at least a five year one.
Is it being cynical to think Ehab's motivation for this is that it will bump up his price when, inevitably, someone comes in for him?
