Don't worry the EHRC about anti semitism report about labour anti semitism has been publicised this morning and already Keir Kneeler has called it a "a day of shame for labour", reported everywhere else, i'm sure that that the BBC will catch up soon.

Can't wait for the left's response to this one.

Double tragedy why are they coming here? BBC are nearly silent on what is going on with France over terrorism. Hundreds killed in years by radical islamists.

It is tragic, terribly tragic when lives of any ages are cut short in such awful circumstances.
In my humble opinion the French authorities could and should be doing an awful lot more to prevent any such boats leaving French shores and should be looking at re-settling the migrants elsewhere in Europe, or even France! Especially as we are about to leave the EU.
There's also the 'why are they coming here' bit. I am assuming most of the asylum seekers are from poor backgrounds, escaping civil war, persecution and such like and possibly have had little or no education. So they probably don't fully understand what is happening with the likes of Covid, Brexit, and most importantly the huge amount of danger that their proposed voyages will mean to themselves, when they are at least relatively safe in France.
The French could also do more by holding education talks in the various camps to warn people of the possibly outcomes, and prevent the risks being taken. But it's probably not in their political interests to do so when we can foot the bill for those who do make it.
The way I see it, this is France's responsibility all the way through.

I lived in France for 16 years, most people in the UK have no grasp of the problems that France faces. From it's colonial past it has a huge muslim population and 10 years ago publicly admitted to having 4 million illegal muslim immigrants living in France, however privately they know it almost certainly between 10 and 15 million. They don't have the political will to stop this migrants attempting to cross the channel and in a way who could blame them?

I see that Stormer was asked multiple times if he was going to expel his predecessor and his best reply was, Corbyn wasn't actually personally named in the report.

I agree the decision to not allow religious items to be worn in their classrooms came about because teachers, said in certain inner schools ethnic French children were becoming marginalised. But to be fair to them they banned all religious items even crucifixes.

I like the way they banned the burkha in public areas, branded racist by many in the UK.

Many Brits are unaware of the way the French deal/dealt with travellers especially Roma's.

Firstly when travellers are moved on they properly clear up that site, because they can have their vehicles and caravans confiscated and even crushed and face repatriation as well.

When Sarkozi was president, he warned the Romas, who hold a huge gathering in Southern France that anymore escalation of violence, especially that directed at the police and military would be dealt with with an iron fist and he was true to his word after rioting/trashing a village and hospitalising police officers and military personnel, 40,000 were rounded up country wide, their vehicles and caravans crushed and flown back to whence they came.

And in an ironic twist of lefty hypocrisy, the next French president Hollande, who reviled Sarkozi for his racist actions, quickly did the same to 35,000 more Romas.

Being suspended purely for his response is a bit ridiculous in itself, but if it cleans anti-semitism out of the party then it's obviously worth it. They've been a shambles. Can't quite imagine Boris doing the same thing over the Islamophobia in his party mind can you?

Of course you may be correct, but this is the Equality & Human Rights Commission an independent organisation and Corbyn has from the outset accused them of not being impartial (much like the title of this thread) and it is 'alleged' that under his leadership and since he has refused to engage. So I suspect it's a reaction to the whole issue not just his response today. But I suspect it won't end here.

Anyway talking about imagination, my imagination tells me that there will be over the coming weeks demonstrations by the left (they love a good demo) and several prominent Corbyn supporters seeing how far they can push Starmer on this issue with more inflammatory sound bytes as the labour party continues to eat itself from the inside out.

I tried to explain, the HOMEPAGE is updated immediately a new story emerges, so pretty much on a minute to minute basis, your story and my story today, may only have not been on the HOMEPAGE for the moment in time that you or I accessed the HOMEPAGE, because it was pushed down on to page 2 only to resurface when another story about the subject emerges, doesn't mean it was never there at all.
