Henriksen will be remembered by many as one of our most disappointing signings. I’m struggling to remember one decent performance from him. He came with a big reputation, regardless of whether we played him in his correct position - he was dire. A complete passenger in most games and as weak as piss. Maybe Norway will suit his ‘style’ whatever that ‘style’ is?

Henrikson and everything to do with his time here was poor, he was poor on the pitch for 80% of the time, the way we handled him at the end was poor, him refusing to play against Donny was poor and the money we wasted on him was piss poor! He's gone, we move on
He was one of our best players the season he was captain under Adkins. So saying everything to do with his time at City was poor is letting prejudice cloud your judgement.

He did ok very occasionally, hence why I didn't say poor 100% of the time. I have no prejudice at all. His time at city was poor all round from all involved

Fair crack of the whip ? Adkins made him the captain of the team. How much more crack of the whip did he want ? Plus how long was he out injured on £25k a week ?
I've never seen a player in my life both amateur and professional level duck out of as many 50/50 headed challenges as he did.

He was made captain, a responsibility which he never dropped the ball on (have a look at how much Chris Martin's goal against Bolton meant to him). In the Premier League he made just 15 appearances, having been signed off the back of 2 and a bit very good seasons in Holland. That doesn't sound fair to me.

It's a good job heading the ball isn't the sole reason we judge a footballer either. Some players aren't very good in the air, stop the presses.

I respectfully disagree.

He's another one in a long line of players we managed to completely **** up. He was never a poor footballer, nor was he poor in 80% of the games he played in.

I’m sorry but thats bollocks
Who are in this long line of players we’ve ****ed up. He had every opportunity to take his chance.
Same as he did at Bristol and he didn’t take it.

Apparently Jackson Irvine worried about being involved in a relegation battle again so he turns down the Massive. What a shame for them he was such a ****ing asset for us in our relegation battle.

Over the years, especially in the Premier League, we've brought in players that were doing well in their respective divisions, well enough that we decided they should come and play for us. Then, magically, they've been ****, our fans write them off and they leave with a cloud over their heads. But, by some miracle, they go to another club and they start doing well again. Granted, a few drop down to a lower level, but there are examples of players going on and rediscovering the form that led us to buy them in the first place.

Altidore, Proschwitz, Sagbo, Ince (did well in the Championship before and after, was a victim of Bruce's tactical switch to 3-5-2), Diomande, Elabdellaoui, Henriksen, Ramirez, Mbokani. All came here with decent pedigrees and records, all left with a big fat "they're ****" label on them. And that's just in recent seasons. Note that more than half the names on that list are strikers, too.

Sometimes, it just doesn't work out with some players, sometimes they don't settle, sometimes they get injured. But the ones I've listed above aren't bad players, not by any stretch and it just so happens that when they signed for us, they were crap, but they're now playing for other clubs that get more out of them.

They won't be in a relegation battle at the end of the season, not with their squad.

Altidore was dreadful with Sunderland. He has done ok in the US
Prozzys did nowt after us
Sagbo done nowt
Nice is one of the biggest disappointments of young english players he’s been **** everywhere
Loads of foreign players come to England and do ****e as do British players who don’t make the step up
It’s not just us
There’s no one in your list who has gone in to great things is there?

Well he hasn't, he's made over 100 appearances for Derby (scoring 33 times) and 77 so far for Stoke. I didn't suggest they've gone on to be global superstars, just that they've picked up from where they left off before joining us. But out of my list, you only picked up on two. Which is irrelevant, really, because the point is they weren't "doing nowt" before they came to Hull City. In fact, if anything, it shows what a bullet to the head signing for us can be if it doesn't work out.

I couldn’t be arsed to go through them all
They’ve done nowt

Not for me to defend Sheff Wednesday but Irvine's got some ****ing nerve thinking he's too good to play for them. His attitude stinks and he can't pass the ball forward. It's good he doesn't want to join a club in a relegation battle because he hasn't got the bollocks for it anyway.

Actually he's very good at passing the ball forward, it's just that it's usually ends up at the feet of an opposition player!

Irvine plays football as if he's wearing wellies, with guide ropes attached to them & tent pegs firmly hammered into the ground. Walzing Matilda around a focal point. :emoticon-0100-smile
