How you can trust anything that comes from Burnham I really don't know.
That staged outdoor interview being told on screen the news by a party member's mobile phone was cringing and a downright fraud.
He's just following Starmer's orders to make hay during this pandemic.

Funny but I remember hearing a few interviews with him on LBC (couple of months ago) and he was actually praising the government for their actions....I thought at the time, sound's fishy!!..I realise now, it's his way to get people on board for the backlash...............I don't trust any of them!!!

Or maybe the government did do some things correctly?

Honestly can't believe how different our takes are on these things. I'd rather an opposition politician praised the government when they actually did something good, but holds them to account when they balls up. We're clearly just from very different sides of the argument <laugh>

That I agree with, But a balls up is a balls up and that's fair enough, hold them to account..I get that....But not criticise every single measure put forward, which is what's they're doing........
I don't believe the praise was genuine from Burnham, but just to entice his voters for further down the line.....I hope the people of Manchester will see through it!

We currently have no excess death rates at the moment, Hospital admissions are normal for this time of year.
1 in 100 in N Ireland are testing positive Locked down
1 in 130 in England partially locked down
1 in 180 lowest in UK, Scotland & Wales with a full lockdown in Wales (wtf)!!
The main reason for the increase in cases were due to the younger ones returning to UNI whom it hardly affects. The rate of increase has now reduced
There will be more deaths because of Covid measures than Covid itself.
I believe the government is wrong to implement these ridiculous restrictions, the opposition are worse requesting a full lockdown..

We’ve no choice to isolate, it’s a ball ache. The issue I’ve got is regardless of how well it helps Wales against the plague it to me is pointless. Come November 9th will just go back to free for all. I can’t see what 2 weeks will do when they say it’s a 3-4 week cycle so they may say **** it we’ve ruined Halloween and Bonfire night let’s ruin Christmas as well.

This circuit breaker in my opinion would of only worked if the whole UK done it. So it won’t do anything in my opinion.

There is nothing new here. Its is already done to monitor other viruses. Services test water supplies for viruses coming in and water authorities test waste.

I know, I saw some of the reaction to it.

It will not help independent shops one iota, as already pointed out just push people further down the Amazon route.

The mistake has always been, when easing the lockdown restrictions, believing that a lot of people will actually behave responsibly, that was never going to happen.

It wasn’t rocket science that there will be a second wave. No vaccine or cure was on sight. We went into lockdown too late, we rushed out of it because other countries came out, with being in lockdown before us.

I thought Wales was doing well standing firm and slowing the ease out of lockdown but then not make mask compulsory when every other country was doing it was stupid.

Everywhere made things safe as in shopping, hairdressers everything but drink and people everything became a free for all. If people want to go out drinking fine. Make them book a table and stay in that pub. Pubs get all night trade but no, we allow them to go onto pub crawls etc. Control it better then we can end this year on a positive. Stop trusting the public, allow them their right to drink but control it better.
