Well it is a flu type virus, It's a virus that attacks your respiratory system....same as flu but a bit more severe.
It is mainly people with other underlying health issues as are infections ...
I'm sorry but to me this is all out of proportion and not worthy of such ridiculous measures when so many other lives are at risk with other medical problems, such as Cancer, on going heart conditions etc and also including mental health, education, jobs & the economy, of which many not just 1000s but millions will suffer....It's bloody madness......

Medical term it's different and I did say more severe, bit like Men & Women are different......one is more severe.:emoticon-0103-cool:....
The fact that they are unsure of it's nature apart from it being very easily spread and can cause more serious illness, without at this time a vaccination. it has lots of similarities to flu. A tomato & pepper is not a vegetable......but is similar.
In time, there will be either a vaccination or appropriate treatment that will deal with it.............Then I'm sure another Virus will come to light.....We just need to deal with it and get on with life as is...........All these restrictions, being locked up and controlled is not living life and ridiculous
 
It seem obvious that what we are experiencing has a direct correlation between the ignoring of covid regulations once they were eased and the 2nd wave.

Mass demonstrations, overcrowding beaches, overcrowding pubs and clubs, street parties, illegal raves, block parties, the list goes on, as I already said my wife and I decide what we consider dangerous and what we consider safe and that includes meeting with family members and that goes both ways.

It seems that far too many are prepared to play Russian roulette and then blame everybody else. Young people seem more likely to have milder symptoms and recover quicker but that cannot be said about the people that they may have passed it on to.
 
Not here to stir anything up, but I thought a perfectly good example popped up yesterday to counter your points on the BBC.

MP's voted against giving free school meals to kids over Christmas and into Easter Wednesday night. I'm not really interested in whether it was right or wrong, but it was highly controversial, it was the top trend on Twitter all evening and throughout the day yesterday. Marcus Rashford has been campaigning for months on this - it even made the front page of 2 national newspapers.

And on the BBC homepage.... nothing. Not even a mention.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Both sides think the BBC is biased towards the other. That quite possibly answers the question on partiality.

Well I don't know where you have been looking but this link is just the first page of BBC's news page and there is loads of pieces spanning 48 hours of this story, I haven't even bothered going on to page 2 or further.

I have a few questions for you, because I don't know. How exactly are the free meals distributed?, is it vouchers for places for children to go to eat their meals? is it vouchers to exchange for food? or is it money paid direct to claimants?, is it means tested? and if these free meals are only for children does that suggest that the parent/parents eat ok?

In all fairness, it was on the BBC news last night along with a debate surrounding it on Question time..... So yes it has..

More party politics mate, it was a another good one for the Labour party to pounce all over it!!
They have been a bloody hindrance to all of this rather than coalescing with the government to help people get back to normal living....
I'm not saying that the government has been fantastic by any stretch, but the opposition has been DREADFUL

That is a search function come on. You can search for anything and have it pop up, doesn't mean it was on the front page.

I told you I'm not arsed about whether it was right or wrong, let's not get into yet another sidetracked discussion. This was just relevant to the topic.

Not entirely sure how Labour have been a hindrance when they called the vote but never mind.

Anyways, I checked the website twice, once after the vote and once the next morning and I'm telling you it wasn't on the BBC News front page. The online Internet Archive website also backs me up.

No matter how much help or how much money is offered in these unrepresented circumstances, it's never enough or it's come far too late...
Calling for a full on lockdown for 3 weeks, like this Country won't be in enough mess when this is all over....
Looking to pounce on every mistake..............I understand they are there to keep the government on their toes, but they are not helpful whatsoever.....IMO.

All deemed more noteworthy. Not a mention of Rashford yesterday.

Stop digging your hole any deeper.

But I will try to explain in simple terms for you.

1. I googled BBC news.

2. When that site opened, I scrolled down and not to very far.

3. I found the headline link to what I then put up on here.

I never used the search facility, I didn't have to, the link I used was on the opening page of the BBC news website. In fact even though the website has been updated since I put the link up, the story is still on their front page as their number 1 trending story.

I hope that is good enough for you to accept, that you got it wrong.
