So you could have a game in Paris,Madrid,Barcelona,Milan,Moscow etc I can't imagine too many away fans making the trip every second week.
They don't seem to understand that part of the appeal of seeing your club play these teams is that it doesn't happen all the time.
When they change that, then seeing Juventus play Madrid will no longer stand out.
It'll be the standard fixture, which then pushes down the other ones into irrelevance.
Man Utd v Inter will be the equivalent of West Brom v Burnley.

If they're incompetent and corrupt and you won the league, doesn't that mean that you bought them off? <whistle>

No it means VAR coming in kept them in check and the best team won.

Now we're seeing them get used to using it to justify any decision they feel like making just like the old days.

It's the same officials on VAR. They gave even ****tier decisions, too.

They also work in teams so they cover up for each over. Our last game was Oliver ref and Coote VAR, then their next game was Coote ref and Oliver VAR.

And you won the league under that system. If it's corrupt, then so are you.
Probably why your owners are chasing even more money with this Project Big Picture ****.
Got to keep paying those officials somehow! <laugh>

I was against a 'European Super Premier League whatever'

Then I thought imagine the ****ing BEEL out of Merseyside if Liverpool won the Super League... then lost the trophy due a last minute penalty by the fourth placed team in the "Super League top 4 play off final"

Would be hilarious.

Liverpool and Man Utd proposed a plan to save all of English football.

Rather than start constructive discussions about the details, they were told to go away.

So now Liverpool and Man Utd are looking into proposals to save themselves and let the rest of English football collapse.

Isn't this what people wanted?

Yawn.

So the RS & Mancs get ****ed clean off with their power grab proposal a week ago and then purely coincidentally this pile of bollocks is dredged back up yet again.

And to think, the game is currently pushing back at the idea of having Govt backed governance inflicted on it.

This idea really is the turd that won’t flush. It completely ignores the simple fact that all of the glory hunters who follow the clubs who’d be selected for this new league, are used to seeing their clubs win pots on a regular basis. But 17 of the 18 in this new league would win **** all, just how long are the glory hunters going to hang around when their chosen pick doesn’t win anything or look likely to? Not very imo.

It’s not happening anyway, and this is nothing but the obvious, but **** me do those Sherman’s need putting back in their box.

This, this, this.

THIS.

How many times are Athleti, Spurs, Arsenal and the like gonna finish 6th, 7th, 8th, year in year out being midtable ****e.

Garbage **** teams like AC and Inter being lower midtable or even worse year in year out.

Will ****ing kill those clubs.

Literally no one can compete with PSG and Real financially imo. How is anyone gonna consistently beat these guys? Hope on getting top 4 and winning on pennos in the play off?

Please.

Tbf that particular obstacle has been taken care of by Covid.

Global subscription and sponsorship is what they're thinking about with home fans thrown in to make up a side earner.

There’s literally no hunger for this amongst fans and hasn’t been for the 22 years it’s been floating around the bottom of the bog.

Hence the reason it’s never happened. Today was merely the Yanks trying to grandstand and threaten the PL though. Same as they did last time, and it’ll be treated with the same response.........****ing meh.

I think it will be completely neutral venues. Like the boxing or some ****.

"REAL MADRID VS MAN UTD IN QATAR"

They proposed that ****e a few years ago with "an extra game" hopping around Europe.

I still reckon this is all a ploy. They'll use this as a threat, then come back with the original Project Big Picture but with a fat sweetener for PL teams so they vote for it next time.

The fans of these two clubs should be saying no to this and telling their owners to get ****ed

They're deadly serious imo.. they want to secure the money from this for 20 years rather than worry about qualifying for the champions league.. They'll eliminate any opportunity for investment at other clubs because there wouldn't be any champions league money to gain plus the othe clubs can't offer players the chance to play on Europe, so it'll be even easier to gather up the players they want. It basically closes the show.... The threat of losing their spot on the champions league removed and the threat of takeovers would be removed in the process.. Its a win win for the bastards. They wouldnt give a **** about the league anymore, but the other clubs would have less quality and less ambition.

Hopefully it doesn't happen, but it's hard to see why they'd not want it to.. Or is there something I'm missing?
