I want a Campervan, what do you recommend ?

We’ve got a VW with Pop Top. Can’t fault it. Keeps up with most things on the road at legal road speeds. Comfortable, and we’ve been all over the UK in it since the kids were small. It has been really reliable as well. The kids absolutely love it. We did the North Coast 500 in Scotland a few years ago which was amazing. Highly recommended.

Anyone got Highlights from anything but Sky. They're not available to us expats. Febbos you usually have some that work here ??? Sounded like a good performance. But I was under the knife in Surgery !!!!!

Don't know if this works through YouTube mate.

Hope you are ok too

We are totally in love with Scotland especially the west coast, absolutely wild and ****ing free, well not free as it cost us a fortune for the week. From hull to fort William in a day was both a wonderful and tiring experience. Driving by so many lochs reminded me of how much I loved the sea during my years in the merchant navy. Yorkshire and Scotland are my favourite places in the world, in that order. We went last February, pissed down almost every day but oh my ****ing Lord was it beautiful. Mind you when our lass walked through the shower screen forgetting to open the door it put a little mokka on the trip but that’s another story. As GLP says “ Highly Recommended “

Excellent result, glad Jordy was dropped.

The slang word chav in Britain has no link to gypsies, I don’t believe anyone using it here ever made that association and it seems to have completely fallen out of use anyway.

I hate caravans, all caravans.
Del Boy in Only Fools and Horses used the word, Chav, I think he’s says Chavvy kid

Grant McCann was pleased with his side's response as Hull City eased to a convincing 3-0 victory at Rochdale.

A Mallik Wilks brace and a Josh Magennis header earned the Tigers a fifth win in six league matches and offered the perfect riposte to defeat at Fleetwood eight days ago.

“It’s a really good reaction from a bad half at Fleetwood that cost us the game,” said McCann.

“Since we’ve started the season, that’s all it has been. We wanted to come here today with a real intention of responding in the right way, with the right performance and I think we’ve done that.

“They’re a good footballing team, they play the right way and they try to overload you in wide areas.

“I thought the shape of the team and our organisation was good. When we broke, we looked dangerous on nearly every occasion.

“It could have been more. One of our frustrations at half-time was just the final ball at times. We were getting into the mid third of their half and sometimes overhitting the pass or losing the ball.

“There were opportunities for Keano – he could have had a couple - and Mallik could have had another one or two goals.

“The most pleasing thing was the shape and the organisation, the willingness to defend our goal because we know we’ve got threats in the team and we can get goals at the other end.”

I was there, that was just one of those days nothing came off for us and everything York did turn to gold. The problem with the Fleetwood loss, was the capitulation after half time, which had shades of last season. Still raw in many peoples minds.

P.S. It was the 7th game in not the middle by the way
To know that you must have had Chris Elton's book out ? I was actually speaking to Chris yesterday by the way.
That York defeat is still raw in my mind, 55 years after it happened and instantly recalled from memory.

Memory is strange, cant remember what i did last year , but can remember the boxing day1965 game against Millwall which we won 1-0 (Millwall o.g.) the att 40,231 the atmosphere was electric, still got marks on my backside from sitting on the cinder track, day like that are few and far between.

Very best wishes CT from Der and Die Alte - we hope it wasn't too serious and went well.

Hire one first. I thought I wanted one then tried both a camper and a coach built motorhome and preferred the motorhome, but also realised that for the amount I would use it I’d actually be better off just hiring one every time. That’s not to say I wouldn’t buy one, but I’d definitely try both out first.

Thanks. Are they expensive to hire?

In your position I’d aim for one of the ones that offers new or within 1-2 year old vehicles so probably c£100 a night this time of year up to maybe £150 in summer.

It’s not cheap, but it’s much cheaper than buying one new, deciding you don’t like it and selling it on!

Never read his book, maybe I should. Strangely enough, I remember the away game more than the home game, we won it 2-1, I guess it was the away day thing always seem more memorable for some reason. 2 games later we experienced probably the best away day ever drawing 2-2 at Stamford Bridge.
