    Saturday 3pm
Smallwood has to come back in. FACT
    Magennis too.

Grant McCann is set to welcome back three players ahead of this Saturday’s trip to face Rochdale.

The Tigers’ Head Coach confirmed that Richie Smallwood and Tom Eaves are set to return from injury ahead of the journey to the Crown Oil Arena, with the duo fit again after lengthy lay-offs.

Josh Magennis will also return for the Tigers this weekend after missing the Fleetwood match due to international duty with Northern Ireland.

The only absentee this weekend is forward James Scott, who continues his recovery from an injury picked up against Northampton Town in September

Got to get the show back in the road here. I know we’re all going to say it but terry really needs to Alter his plan when things aren’t going well.
Elder needed help but was hung out to dry. That was poor management.

This should be 3 points, but with Terry at the helm, anything can happen. Is it time to give Jones and McLoughlin a start in the middle of the back 4, as they did well against Leeds, and both Burke and De Wijs look out of sort?

After Fleetwood Rochdale will see us as a team that can be beaten, dreary 1-1 for me.

Will be interesting to see if Rochdale use the same tactic as Fleetwood last week. Having seen it to be effective and city unable to deal with it then that is what any sensible coach will have been practicing all week.

Not for me. I know Burke and de Wijs weren't perfect through the 4 clean sheets, but they still achieved them so would be premature to change on basis of one poor result. I also think it's about defending as a team. Seems like we did that quite well before the Fleetwood game but they found us out.

Whatever the starting 11, the real test is how we performed after last week, if it was just a bump in the road as our lovely grant said or another performance that mirrors last season. If it's the latter then grant really hasn't changed anything.

I'm going for last week being a bump and 3-1 city

We’re a one trick pony that Fleetwood saw off at ease. Can Rochdale do the same? TWT.

Co-op, Gracie fields, Lisa Stansfield, Bill Oddie, Anna Friel blah blah blah.

Cotton Famine Road celebrates the relief packages sent by Abraham Lincoln, when his port blockade to end slavery decimated the local industries and lead to wide scale famine.

Hitler loved Rochdale Town Hall so much, he wanted it removing brick by brick to be rebuilt in Germany.

Politician John Bright was a personal friend of Abraham Lincoln, who had a portrait of him on his wall. A bust of John Bright is still on display in the Whitehouse.

A single lavatory was built inside the town hall especially for Queen Victoria but, despite it being in full working order, it has never been used.

Rochdale AFC played 36 consecutive seasons in the football leagues bottom division from 1974 to 2010. This is the longest any team has been in the bottom division.

Captain Matthew Webb used Hollingworth Lake as a training camp before becoming the first person to swim the English Channel in 1875.

On August 13 1994, the Co-Operative broke the world record for cooking the largest pancake, marking their 150th anniversary in their hometown, Rochdale.

The world’s largest factory under one roof was once in Rochdale (Dunlop Mill). I don't know if the 'once' bit is connected, but..John ‘Earthquake’ Milne, credited with developing the seismograph, was raised in Milnrow.

Before the recent re-opening of the River Roch, Rochdale held the record for the world’s widest bridge. It stretched from the Lviv Bridge outside Number One Riverside in Smith Street to an opening in The Esplanade.

Always a big game after a bad defeat, important we get something from this hopefully a win. Not just McCann but the players on that pitch need to show a lot more than they did last week. Win by one goal will do nicely.

If it walks like a Match Day Thread and talks like a Match Day Thread then the chances are it's a Match Day Thread.

    Occam's razor, innit.
