Seriously kemps, it’s not all that bad. The first day was horrific, and bad events can feel cataclysmic, like dropping my banana at lunch time on day 2, if I had an AR15 in my hands at that time I could quite happily have taken it out on anyone and everyone in sight.

But each day probably feels twice as easy as the last and it soon becomes much less of a need and more of a want, which is easier to shake off or ignore.

Also I have had cigarettes and vape available and within reach at all times. I think that’s important, having them to hand. It makes it less of a decision, you either do it or you don’t. No ****ing about well I’ll walk to the shop and buy some and see how I feel, I think that sort of thing is a one way ticket to certain doom. Besides you need to get used to being around it so you might as well go all in from the start and avoid nothing.

I stop for the third time tomorrow. The last time.

Seriously Bob, when I wake up in the morning, smoking is history.

Good luck kemps. If you can make it through tomorrow you can go the distance, remember that. Day one was really, really ****. I felt dizzy and not at all with it, being kept busy both at work and after was probably key in pulling it off. Strong cravings at traditional smoke times like after food and exercise were a proper battle I ended up pacing around stuffing my face with chocolate bars and iced cream but I did it.

Day 2 wasn’t much better and make sure you keep a good hold on your banana. Day 3 was a sharp improvement over previous, as was day 4 over 3, and again today day 5 over yesterday.

I will be testing myself properly on Sunday, as I should be off for a day rock climbing. A sit down and smoke whilst marvelling at the fact I am still amongst the living has always been the way to calm myself down after staring death in the face. Not entirely sure how that’s going to go.

Take a small book, with illustrations and text, on the marvels of geology. When you pause at the summit, do a wee bit of browsing.

I think some of that Crystal meth from mick on tick is more likely to do the job, but he wouldn’t tick it, I have to pay by pro forma as I’m a new customer

A head for heights then - or should I say a head for highs ?
If a centipede a bucketfull, how much would a precipice ?
A shear drop.
As they say, plenty of rope, not dope :emoticon-0100-smile

Good day Kemps? <laugh>

Today was my day 6, piece of piss actually, which is surprising considering I’ve spent most of it on my arse doing **** all. Think I’m mostly in the clear now.

Tomorrow will tell me more. Out with the chaps, who smoke, terrifying myself rock climbing. If I manage tomorrow I’m claiming I’ve completed quitting, then I’ll have to play through again on hard mode.

Blew it, Bob. Didn't even get through the morning. I'll try again tomorrow.
You’re pathetic man!
Sort yourself out
Bob is making you look like an amateur.
Embarrassing.

Seriously though if you do want to die younger than you need to can you leave us all some cash behind a bar somewhere? Choosing to snuff it means you’re choosing to not need as much cash as you would need if you lived as long as you could anyway, so you’ll obviously have a fair chuck spare.
Good choice, thanks. <cheers>
