Always gave the ball away in important positions at SAFC. Worked hard but had little end product and I thought we looked better without him. Might have been the manager! But, let’s be honest, do you think our current manager could make him better??One goal, one assist today.

Really? Cracking player? Sorry but I was so pleased to see him in another clubs shirt when hull played us in the cup. Weak, ran about a bit, gave ball away and fouled constantly as hes not strong enough ,gets forced off the ball and foulsCracking player. Don't get when people slate him. He's a grafter who keeps the engine ticking, picks up any slack by offering positional cover. Every player's job is made easier when he's on the pitch. He'll also chip in with goals and assists. Should never have sold him.
Ah the Honeyman debate. It's tired, tedious and like groundhog Day. We had it with the hendo haters too. Funny how both outgrew us pretty fast only to perform consistently at a higher level, what with them "not good enough to play for us". proof is in the pudding mate.Really? Cracking player? Fair play with Hendo, but I'm not sure that argument applies to George. He played one season in the Championship, scoring one goal as his team finished bottom...
Judging Midfielders on goals. Nuff said.
I don't measure consistency for non forwards by goals for a club which is nosediving. I'm not that one dimensional in my assesment of the game. If he were a forward I still wouldn't judge on goals alone.Thinking that one goal in 42 games from an attacking midfielder is "performing consistently". Nuff said.
When has honeyman consistently performed at a higher level since he left us? He was in and out of a terrible hull team that are now in our league. As for henderson, theres no comparisons at all to him and honeyman. As of yet a cant see any proof in the pudding that honeyman is what he is, a just above average league 1 player.Ah the Honeyman debate. It's tired, tedious and like groundhog Day. Well given Hull were in the higher league when he signed, yes it was a step up. And everybody is in and out of the team with 40+ games a season. We don't give anybody 40 starts either. Hull fans seems happy with him. And the comparison with Hendo is pretty clear. Both written off by a large chunk of the fan base only to then sign for a club above our level. When has honeyman consistently performed at a higher level since he left us? I never said I was judging him on goals alone though, did I? Sorry for not spelling it out in my original post, but someone who couldn't consistently keep their place in the worst team in the Championship, and getting relegated, whilst only contributing one goal all season as a primarily attacking player, and winding up back in the same league as us, is neither "outgrowing us" nor "performing consistently at a higher level".
I dont know one person who wrote Henderson off. Come on mate I'm not out to have a go at honeyman but I think your clutching at straws a bit. My hull mates dont rate him and neither do a lot of lads they go to match with. Quite ironic they were relegated the season he signed for them. Hes a decent league 1 player this is his level. But that's my opinion and don see any great stats that make him anymore than thatWell given Hull were in the higher league when he signed, yes it was a step up.
