Aye, just strikes me as low for a car with such a good engine, i'd expect it to be pretty efficient once your up to speed, as it where.

That said, if that's what Volvo are advertising, they know better than me! ;)

Flogged it in the end for £5k and bought the new overseasTOON beast! I drive a Renault Espace... I pride/bull**** myself into happiness that it has a large sunroof

Hahaha but it does have a nice sunroof. <ok>

That was the only thing I didn't get on the T5 as when I was making enquiies I was told I would get a buffeting noise at speed.
I still get the buffeting noise if the back windows are open mind. No problem with the fronts.

I hate that sound you get with a back window open, it's horrific.

It actually makes my brain hurt.

Kids and a huge long haired German Shepherd in my case, otherwise I would have got the saloon <ok>

Mind that huge space behind me has been well used over the years, with the seats down its as good as a van. :)

One of the grandkids gets travel sickness that is the only time they are allowed to open the back windows. Yep It gives me a headache.

Luckily the rest of the time the AC works fine, best I have ever had.

I think a lot of cars not, the estates are very good looking cars.

The Audi RS4 and RS6 avants both look fantastic, i'd say the t5 suits the shape as well.

BMW have never managed to get it right mind.

Its an S60. Multi CD is in the dash & has Dolby and also multi speaker surround sound (havent a clue how many speakers). Heated black leather, air con, individual climate control, sun roof 4 electric windows and still cant get temperature right. Best car ive ever had,but have to agree rather thirsty. I use Shell V-Power which costs more, but the performance does improve in my opinion (another debate coming on). Costs about £45 to get to the match and back-about 180miles after ive visited family.
We sound like a couple of pensioners from the Volvo Appreciation Society

Have to say the x-type estate is a good looking beast too. Drive a sport saloon version and they are great cars. Still miss the old quattro though. every time I park up next to it I wish it was running again....yes kids and wife and mortgage etc do that to you...been off the road now for around 11 years apart from one year seven years back.

Blew the radiator hoses to bits over the winter trying to drag the Jag out of a snowdrift in the street too!!! grrrr!! seems the de-icer had perished.

Yeah I use the V power too, lol about the pensioners,
Theres a young lad near me who hadn't even thought of a Volvo till he saw mine move. :)
He is in the process of getting an R type. :)
From the sound of it he is talking about body kit and lowering it. <sillysodsmiley> especially with all the speed bumps now.

Mines the red one on the left as you look at the pic, with my mates orange newer modified "R" type on the right. (Got a picture of under his bonnet somewhere, I'll rake it out. )
Never felt the need to modify mine as it's pretty much the way I like it as it stands.

I've got an S3 sat on the drive with the Quattro system on it, fantastic car although i get terrible understeer if you go hard into tight corners on a damp/wet road. Soon to be remapped so if anyone knows of anywhere local where i can get it done?

As a studier of the social sciences and an self-confessed ecologist, I have to say that I detest this programme, and the sooner that Clarkson is taken off air the better...
That's just my opinion, and I respect the fact that he appeals to some folk...

I did one of those track days, my wife and daughter got me it for a xmas pressie, got to do a few laps of a race circuit in 1st a DB9S then in the Vantage, if you ever get the chance to do it then go for it. Expensive but well worth it and what cars they are as well, i'm drooling thinking about it now.

I have been tempted in the past, but couldn't find a good enough reason to cover the expense.

When I had the diesel Merc I did go in and have a test drive of an SL mind.
    Lovely piece of kit. :)
They even offered to let me have one to test over the weekend, wish I had now, I would have probably put a thousand miles on it though. :)
