I was talking to someone about this today, boils my piss tbh.

The correlation between most of those who’ve made a song and dance about ‘civil liberties’ seems to be that they just don’t get what the word Society actually means and their beliefs across the spectrum are inherently self centred.
Society is ****ed.

This is the stupidity I don't get.

I hear "I'll go and see who I want".... "I'm not wearing any mask"... "It's my choice"...

Then when new restrictions are imposed, like they are now, it's "it's ridiculous"... "they're killing the economy"... no you fcktard YOU'RE killing the economy. Just like you're killing some poor sod you know nothing about because you've been behaving like a selfish prick.

anyone who won’t wear a mask shouldn’t get any treatment if they get ill - if it’s their choice to get ill and infect anyone that comes in to contact with them, then it should be a NHS Nurse or Doctor’s choice to not treat them.

seems fair

Because they know the consequences of their selfishness won't come back on them so they don't give a ****.

Imagine if infections could be traced and the law said you're free to not wear a mask but if your carelessness infects someone you have to cover their wages while they isolate. How many would still think their choice was so important then?

Isn't there some case going through in Germany where a woman is getting prosecuted for spreading the infection through negligence?

3 weeks pretty good going so far, hope it continues as long as possible!

It's bound to. I have the feeling that with some of our parents they probably wouldn't say. Hate to say it but it's the truth.

A week ago our admin made a routine call to a dad of a girl who was absent. The dad says that the GP reckons she's displaying some of the signs of Covid and she should get a test done. The admin then questions why her younger brother is in school? Dad says "Oh I know it's not Covid. I know it so don't worry". We can't do anything because until the daughter is tested and she's confirmed as having Covid, her brother can stay in school. But the fact the dad thinks he knows best and makes that call is a tad nuts.

Yeah that's mental. Don't see why you wouldn't just get a test done if you've been told that by your GP.

To be fair he tried but I know that dad and he's a bit a twat and his attempt to get a test done was typical of him. I found out afterwards his car was at the mechanics and he was spending days on the bus taking his daughter to various hospitals insisting they do a test, only to be told he was being a dick. I'm not sure if he finally managed to get it done... but once the 2 weeks are over she can come back anyway so I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't.

I have questions;

1. Has he not heard of the Internet?

2. Do you live in Stoke?

He's a complete moron. I've dealt with him on other issues and he thinks everyone is there for his benefit. I can imagine when he couldn't get a local appointment online, he'd have gone to the hospital demanding a test <laugh>

Though tbf when you think about it, there should be testing at hospitals, GP's, walk in centres. We've just accepted there aren't.

And no thankfully not Stoke!

So, is this all clear enough now? Most of the devolved countries seem pretty much aligned, bar a couple of slight differences.

Bottom line is, do this all now or else we'll have to go full lockdown and the country is then properly ****ed. There's the carrot of being able to actually have Christmas with family etc., if we do this properly now.

Be a big kick in the bollocks if we can't travel to see family over Christmas.
Yet university students have freely been able to migrate all over the country!

Hospitality and sports are now ****ed anyway though.

As for testing, I think the priority is quality, not quantity. What's the point of being able to test everyone if it's not 100% accurate?
