There’ll be no Reeco at the KCOM. He’s gone on loan to Bromley instead.

He obviously wants to stay at Portsmouth then. No great loss.

Probably more to do with Portsmouth wanting to keep him and see if he develops.

To be honest I’d rather give Wilks that striker role. I think I may have mentioned it once or twice <laugh><laugh>. He has the physical attributes and he’s quick and the early evidence suggests he knows where the back of the net is. Then we have Magennis and Eaves as back up.

Put any transfer wedge we have left into another experienced midfield general. McDonald you mentioned yesterday would be perfect. We have enough youth in the team and not enough been there and got the t shirt players.

If we're still in the market for a striker/forward, that Paul Smyth at QPR would be a decent signing for us.

I remember those 4 days when he was going to be the next Ryan Giggs.

    Oh for a simpler time...

    Remember Federico Machedaaaaaaaaaa?

Didn't turn to be the new Cantona did he? Now an average goalscorer at Panathanikos.

Or James Wilson, who was going going to be the next great England striker, now playing for Salford FC.

<laugh> I forgot about Bebe. Man, he was ****.

The Da Silva twins never made it either.

I never understand why Man U don't sign world class players anymore. Like, they bought Pogba, fair enough, but they seem to sign these famous players once the likes of Bayern and Real Madrid have already got the best out of them. It would be nice to see them get a few players who were just coming onto the scene, much like they did with Ronaldo.

Simple. Alex Ferguson isn't there, and since he left, they have lost the 'world-class' status they once had.

    Rafael was alright.

I don't know why it didn't go right for Van Gaal. Though he did have an annoyingly thin head and a face like an axolotl.

I don't think he did bad, fickle fans just expected the success of Ferguson to continue without actually thinking how much him leaving would completely decimate them.

Whoever followed him was always destined to fail, no matter who they were.

Seconded. The likes of Palace beating them on their own turf is something I for one want to see continue.

Utd fans are deluded and entitled. They're still in the mindset that certain managers and players aren't good enough for them when the reality is that Utd aren't good enough to attract a decent manager and players.

    Exactly.

Commercially, they are still one of the biggest clubs in the world, definitely the biggest English one.

From an actual footballing perspective? They're nowhere near the other teams at the top. Man City and Liverpool have scorched past them, Arsenal and Chelsea look on the up, and Spurs getting Bale could step them up a level. Never mind how good Leicester and Wolves are, and what Everton might become with the squad and manager they've got.

Every single one of those teams you mentioned are better than Utd and I'd put a tenner on them to all finish above Utd this season. Everton and Wolves are dark horses this season for Europa or even Champions League qualification. Utd have an overrated goalkeeper, a ****e defence and an inconsistent 'star' in Pogba. Their forwards are pretty good but also young and lack experience. They're going nowhere with Ole in charge. He's the Prem's closest equivalent to our own clown McCann.
