Hugill: "When I came on the first thing I wanted to do was give the centre back one for shoving over Teemu in the first half"
Feel we've been missing a bit of that.
I stick by what I said in my original post: "I'm not myself taking much notice of the GA 0". The totally justified criticism of our defending over the last three seasons has clearly hit home, so of course we are hearing a lot about it from DF and the players. There was some talk of changes addressing the issue before the season resumed and look how well that went. It's just talk and practice matches at the moment; I'll start taking notice and handing out the plaudits when I see the clean sheets accumulating in the league.
We also have to take into account that we will not be playing Premier league teams so the standard will not be anywhere near as difficult to play against.Nobody is handing out plaudits. What is being suggested is that there are encouraging signs after 3 games. Can't see how anyone can argue this, you being the exception of course. Nobody is getting carried away, but irrespective of the opposition and the fact that we have only played friendlies thus far, it is good seeing us scoring plenty of goals and not conceding, especially bearing in mind how last season ended .
On 10 signings? So far this summer, we're the Manchester City, oddly enough. Of known transfer fees, the entire league has only spent £13.5m. NCFC contribute £6.5m of that.
According to my wife I am an eternal optimist. Goodness knows what that makes you lot!So be it Robbie - dwell in the dungeons of negativity if that is your wont.![]()

I think that's based on around £3m on Hugill, £2.7m on Placheta, £0.3m on Mumba, and with the rest being free/undisclosed. I'd be surprised if we've spent less than £10m.On 10 signings?
