... Matt Le Tissier, Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson.

There was only so many times they could crack the same jokes, mock each others careers and take an age to get to the point.

Thompson was the worst imo, 5 minutes describing how he's gone through, he's gone past the defender and he's brought him down, the referee's pointed to the spot and he's picked himself up to take the penalty.

Yes but which side is 'he' playing for you idiot <doh>

I was surprised at the Charlie Nicholas one when I heard, there gonna use Micah Richards, which stands to reason as the lads entertaining as ****.

I’ve never seen what Thompson brought to the panel, frankly.

I’m glad they’ve retained Kammy and Merson, both idiots but in a brilliant way, Merson is a person I genuinely like, he’s great on the other shows he does as well.

We all know there’s likely gonna be a ‘diversity’ element I just hope they don’t overkill that.

Why Sky don’t sign up Peter Crouch I don’t know, such a brilliant lad he’s prime for something like Soccer Saturday.

I can't abide Crouch tbh, built up to be a big character based on very little imo.

All opinions valid mate, I find him naturally funny and very much like a lad I’d have in a group of pals, I like Robbie Savage as well mind and I know most don’t <laugh>

Stands to reason that they update the panel, get a few in that are remembered by the next wave of viewers. It’s hard to judge who’s going to be a character nowadays they are so protected, but like I say Micah has been excellent on Super Sunday so he’s an obvious one.

Was brilliant when they had Warnock on mind, he didn’t give a **** and he was hilarious.

Micah Richards is the worst pundit I’ve ever seen in my life, mate. He looks woefully out of his depth when analysing a game and his banter is cringeworthy, at best.

I'd have got rid of Merson over Le Tissier but good news about Nicholas and Thompson never liked either of them.

Maybe it'll prompt Merson to learn a few of the players names so he's not constantly embarrassing himself.

Crouch can only be pricing himself out of the market, as he is a natural, I also have a lot of time for Merson, knows his stuff. Some of the TV sports commentators are shockingly ignorant, but Thompson he takes the biscuit.

See, like I say, all opinions.

I like him, I don’t need every pundit to be bang on with the knowledge, we’ve Jones, Nev and Carragher specifically for that.

I like that he’s bright and positive, he’s a good contrast when they have Keane and Souness on regular.

Just shows how tough a job it is casting and pleasing the majority, when we all have a different opinion just for the 3-4 of us already!

I know a Crouch has done hits for BBC and BT Sport and I wonder if he’s signed a deal or not there, it’s plausible.

The BT lads are useless, I can just about stand Rio, but Hargreaves, Owen and McManaman, ****ing dire.

Its just the opposite with the cricket commentators, bad ones are an exception, Blowers and Aggers spring to mind, they are well and truly lost without the late great Brian Johnston.

He was on yesterday, maybe just a guest, but still a boring old fart, dredging up his connections.

    I can't watch Sky when Merson's on 'cos he's a 'ficko' . . . . I can't stand the bloke.

I don't understand why Sky (or anyone) would employ someone like him who can't be bothered to speak properly.

Nobody has ever been 'frew' on goal or won 'free nil' and nobody has ever 'fort' about anything (or as he would say 'anyfing'). Sorry, but young people listen to idiots like him, and therefore think that it's okay to be 'fick' . . . . what an extremely embarrassing role model <doh>

The pause, for a laugh, every time he says 'he's hit the beans on toast Jeff' is dire.
