Clearly another with a lot of potential to be very good at PL level but 20m is a lot in this window for us and his position can’t be a priority. Sure we could have paid up and I know he’s a long term target but if that means we miss out on a backup ST or a RB then it’s lunacy IMO.

Ledley has always denied making racist comments and an accusation is not enough to condemn someone.
My logic re Lloris is that his drink driving was stupid but racism is hateful...however I can see how he got off really lightly.

I’ve said before I wouldn’t blame the club if they cashed in. Only problems are a) we’re already low on HG players and b) we’d get a fraction of what we could’ve got 2-3 years ago. He was a £100m talent after his second season when you consider the figures clubs are paying nowadays but his failure to kick on has severely depleted what he’s worth now, we’d probably do well to get £40m-£50m.
Going to be an interesting season though because depending on what formation Jose primarily goes with, he may find himself on the bench more often than not.
Sounds like Chelsea getting Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr on free transfers. Two very good bits of business, surprised we didn’t seem to go for either considering our financial constraints, Sarr’s a left footed CB which we now don’t have and Silva’s pedigree and leadership would’ve been brilliant to have brought in for a year or two.
They really seem to be going for it this summer. Looking like they’re going to end up with 5-6 big signings
Onanna's been mentioned - so not only will it put an end to the 18+ months worth of stories saying we're about to sign him, but also have Chav fans thinking that they should have kept Kepa
...for footballing reasons, not the more likely reason Chav fans will be jeering him
