Are people being serious about Suarez or is it a joke? I guess the general point is would you have X player at your club regardless of what he has done in the past, simply because he's a great footballer? The hypocrisy is of course that people say all sorts about that player while he's playing for someone else, but suddenly if he's playing for us he's ok. That's not how I think. I remember what the player has done, I remember what we said about him. I therefore don't care what he brings in pure footballing terms. If we take players like that then we're no different than the teams we despise. So how do we have the high ground on them, and how would you justify supporting us?
The high ground and right way ended when Poch was sacked imo. Have you not seen who the current Spurs manager is? If Spurs can appoint him then why not go for Luis Suarez Sod the high ground, I wanna be a fan of a team that wins trophies
he just bit a few people...Defoe did it once against West Ham His Evra spat...I’ve seem Suarez huggin n kissin his black team mates all his career and I prefer to judge his true character that way than to take Evra’s words totally. Not saying nothing was said but it was definitely heat of the moment and to this day I’m convinced Evra probably said something too judging from his personality on the football pitch I don’t want any high grounds...it’s like the net spend trophy...means nothing for the fortunes of the team on the pitch...I only really want to win.
Just a reminder, but if you can't enjoy watching football unless there's trophies involved, the following clubs are available Paris Saint Germain Dinamo Zagreb FC Copenhagen Legia Warsaw FC Astana Sheriff Tiraspol And for those with no qualms about sectarianism, Celtic are right across the border
Spurs Transfer Window Bingo Get your cards ready, because so far today we've had... * A reported bid for Nicolo Zaniolo * An update on us bringing back Gareth Bale * Two strikers reportedly looking to join other clubs (Callum Wilson and West Ham, Sehrou Guirassy and Rennes) * The club's tweets being met with the usual chorus of "Sign some players" * Gesson being Schroedinger's RB, as he's both a masterstroke and the reason we'll fail this season And it's not even lunchtime
Ledley King did worse than Suarez when it comes to racism yet many (including me) see him as a Spurs hero
Spurs fans can be odd sometimes I remember Hosam Ghaly getting booed, cursed, can’t play for the club again, when he threw the shirt on the floor having been subbed as a sub(obviously he felt like a twat and was probably seething- understandable) Spurs fans chose to ignore the fact that he lost a few teeth for the badge too in his time...fighting for the cause
Booted in the face by one of our ex-players, didn't even get a foul and carried on playing until half-time. The shirt throw was treated excessively, in my opinion. Stupid thing to do, but it's a moment of idiocy and nothing planned or malicious.
Ledley has always denied the charge and was never charged. So it is simply not true to accuse him in this way imho. I have sympathy with @vimhawk. I am still annoyed about Dele filming a se asian guy and making a corona virus joke...and have always disliked our link with Woodgate. However, there is also the issue of rehabilitation and moving on etc.
I am with Vim, I want to win, but not at all costs Suarez can be a wonderful footballer, I was at Wembley and his dummy for Barcelonas 4th (?) goal was truly a thing of beauty, However I consider him to be the worst cheat (even ahead of Maradona) that I have seen in all the time that I have watched football, and I wouldn't him at my club, fortunately it won't happen we won't a player his age the money he wants I would rather take back Bale than recruit Suarez. As for Dele I still think that the FA mixed up his and Diers charges as Deles offence was far worse than Erics in my opinion.
Not quite sure why that is in reply to me, but for the record I had no issue with Ghaly, a complete overreaction to a nothing incident by the fans.
