Despite the best efforts of the media to swoon over Lampard for his supposed belief and trust in the youth in building a new Chelsea side - lets just forget the fact that his hands were tied. Soon as they can, they revert to normal service.
Similar, if he recovers and recovers well, he looks to be a very promising player, I wouldn't be throwing money at him, but if the right deal was in place? Hes a gamble that could pay huge
I believed we'd seen the last of this sort of splurging by Chelsea, but obviously not. Given the managerial merry go round at the club, the managers don't have a vested interest in building a solid foundation, they might as well splurge as regardless as soon as they have a bad run they are out.
What i don't understand is the number of offensive players they are bringing in as it wasn't that area of the pitch where they were struggling . PS am i the only one who thinks Kante form has really dropped off ?

Strange it used to be the other way round teams always tried to build from the back.
well it looks like Chilwell & Silva coming in though quite what an 36 yr old Brazilian CB will make of the PL is anyones guess . Oh and some fella called Sarr who is a free agent & a CB

I recall reading about a team that did this, either the start of last season or the one before. Obviously not a PL side though
