It’s to focus the anger in the right place and put pressure on the PL. masters is probably saying ‘mike just accept one of the other bids’ and doing this closes that potential conversation.

Apparently the PIF have changed their investment strategy recently:

They seem to be less interested in entertainment type investments and may have already moved on. There are no other legitimate bids as Ashley is asking for too much. Did he really raise the asking price at the end?
