There was some false info suggesting that PIF hadn't officially withdrawn that allowed for some hope, but since that notion was rebuffed I can't understand why some are still seeking confirmation! Maybe Mike asked him to put the bid in when his attempt to get rid of the Saudis by upping the price failed, as he was having 2nd thoughts about selling. Once PIF pulled out he was no longer required.
