Really disappointing this weather situation, you expect it in Manchester but not so much down south. I miss watching the highlights and have to get my Cricket fix listening to the TMS podcast.
I thought Zac Crawley looked a very good batsman coming in at 3. Never let the bowlers settle and played some classy shots About the only good thing to come out of this weather beaten test.
Shocker! Test starts on time! England batting. Still unsure about England's openers. Burns just looks ungainly and Sibley looks a bit dilatory and late on the ball at times. TWT, what do I know?
Crawley looking good again. No twitches or idiosyncrasies, he just stands there and gets bat on ball.
He seems to have it all. Great temperament, patience and a big range of shots. Could be around for a long time as hes still only 22. Need to sort out the openers now.
well following another wobble at the top these 2 ha e batted wonderfully well and credit to Crawley .. certainly a bit more aggressive at the crease then his dad ever was !
I assumed he was John's son. It all looked ridiculously easy this afternoon? But well done Zac, keep going
Why didn't they take lunch while they were off the pitch? It's infuriating, no wonder some people mock test cricket.
Just what I was thinking, I've just watched the highlights from yesterday, wonderful knock by Crawley and well supported by Buttler. Good to see Buttler has now got his 100, let's hope Crawley can get to his 200.
second highest maiden test ton for an england player, behind tip foster's 287 and 7th highest by any test player. 7th highest england partnership and highest for any england wicket beyond the third. 10th highest score for england in tests. beat his previous test high by 191 runs and his previous highest first class score by 99.
Brilliant knock. Thought he was good but never saw that score coming so early in his test career. Well done to the Pakistan team for showing excellent sportsmanship as he was walking off, even though they must have been sick of the sight of him.
Pretty good day for England, hundreds of runs then Jimmy demolishes their top order, brilliant stuff!
Sorry. Is this the same Jimmy as the England bowler who's too old, way past his best and lucky to be playing in this test?
