Wouldn’t it be lovely if that was true, maybe there is something in the Dell story after all.

Or it could just be Nick Illingsworth pretending to be ITK again...

Interesting post on SW from a fan supposedly involved in a meeting with the club around fans coming back:

"1. That bubbles for families of up to 3 households could be set up, could not be set up friends from different households.

    2. that there would be a one way system similar to supermarkets, within the stadium

    3. That fencing outside the ground could be used to not only to extend concourse areas, but also incorporating as a way to check tickets as an alternative to normal turnstiles

    4. So far between 8 and 9 thousand season ticket holders had renewed, around 6 thousand still to renew.

    5. The club had computer models set up (they showed us a couple of examples), to show how seating distribution in ground would typically work, including groups in bubbles, nobody sat on ends of rows.

    6. There will be no match by match access to Corporate Areas (only access to season long Corporate Clients)

    7. These initial plans were for the first 6 games that some supporters are allowed into stadium.

    8. At present Premier League rules state away fans must be allowed at all games, this maybe reviewed.

    9. Whatever plans Saints come up with, will need to be approved by others e.g. Southampton City Council, Premier League

    Sounds dreadful tbh.

Not really sure why bubbles can include families from different households but not friends (if true)?

Has anyone on here not renewed their season ticket yet, or not decided yet?

I’m leaving it to the last day of the renewal window, but the more I think about it the more I think I should just leave it, and maybe get a half season when they come out.

One of the main reasons I have a season ticket is for the priority to away games and it’s going to be even harder than normal to get tickets for those games with such reduced allocations.

I reckon away fans might be banned until the new year at least.

We have our season tickets because there is no way I want us to lose our seats as they are perfect for access and egress and for watching the game.

You happy to go in the current climate Godders?

Reckon there'll be a fair few who have renewed but won't feel safe going for a while. Hoping the club do the right thing and allow these fans to opt out of any ballots etc.

I’ve renewed, but to be honest not feeling good about going. I’m hoping it won’t be until after Xmas at least.

I'm not against renewing because of the potential Covid-19 risk (I appreciate a lot of people may be wary), but I am against going if a) we can't actually go for ages and I'm just building up credit that I have to re-spend with the club, b) you can't chant, c) can't go to away games, d) have to ballot for games because of capacity.

I know Saints won't really know the answer themselves, but I would prefer a lot more clarity on how going to a game may actually look before I have to renew (and part with a lot of cash) on 31st Aug. Why couldn't they extend the renewal period for tickets to when they know what going to a game will be like?

Haven't the club committed to cash refunds for any missed games? Agree with the rest of your post though.

I might be wrong, but I thought it was credit like with the home games from the end of last season?

Either way, it's annoying to pull all the cash together on 31st Aug, in order to get the renewal price, when we know that fans can't return until after the first three games at the earliest.

Yep I agree with you on the paying upfront, but as Libby said, I believe they have said there will be cash refunds within 14 days of not being able to go to a game.

It's all so bloody annoying. I've had to move my wedding from May of this year to April 2021 and I'm even concerned about that being okay.

The day we return to almost normality will be a very happy day.

I would hazard a guess that they won’t want people milling around the concourse, so I think yr entry gate will be fixed and you have to go straight to yr seat....so no drink and food sales. May even be staggered arrival times.

I am keeping myself very much to myself at the moment and not venturing beyond my front gate. Once I have been inoculated I may venture a bit further. Looks like that could be some while yet.
