He doesn't have to buy players like these. They're just desperate to stay employed, and so will be very very cheap. That's where we stand now.
Season starts in a month. Somehow we've got to get enthused about whatever new players we get landed with, it's not their fault we got relegated... UTT
Leeds bought Murphy from Crewe for about a £1m, he played a decent number of games for them but he didnt fit in with Bielsa's plans and was loaned out.
How many goals did Bolton’s keeper concede. Let’s have him an all. Do they have any immobile strikers they don’t want?
Someone on the training video has commented Glen Whelan? He’s 36 and only signed for Fleetwood in January. Did we buy Coyle and get offered Whelan for free?
Looks like we won’t have Angus MacDonald this coming season either. Which is a shame. I thought he did ok in his come back games.
Hmmn. Massive credit to him for battling back. And he showed that he really cared those last few matches. But, sympathy vote aside, I don't think he was that good, and the club would be daft to offer him a generous deal.
Agreed. There's every chance he would've fitted in well at the level we're now at but obviously doesn't agree with the deal put in front of him....If it's the financial aspect then he has a fairly short memory!!
After watching the video of McCann yesterday, i was a little bit suspicion, when he started going on about this "leader of men" we are about to sign, cant remember a city manager in recent years talking about a player in that way , that hasn't put pen to paper, they usually don't speak about it until the players signed, or refuse to talk about another clubs player, so i take if he's willing to speak about this "leader of men" then this "leader of men" hasn't got a club, plus its a pathetic attempt at burying bad new, like another player turning down a contract offer, offered to him by the football genius, we know as Ehab.
No great surprise, players don't sign new deals at City as mentioned recently, that said i'm sure it would have been on greatly reduced terms given relegation. All the best to Angus, he's given himself every chance of a better deal elsewhere given his health scare and recovery
Don't think they will get blown off any time soon, suggest you stick with the washing machine for the time being
I guess a lot depends now on whether Wijs and Burke stay, if so, then with Greaves and Taff should be enough cover. If however one of the former go, then Angus would have been probably been starting, so I would have thought he would have tried to have been persuaded. It really is staggering how a number of City players have been long term injuries, you would feel they might have had some allegiance to the club having had their pay for all those months, but for reason we know they never are able to put pen to paper.
The lad doesn't want to be here at face value. His recent performances were bang average to poor, we are well stocked with centre halves, get negotiating, get the best price and say goodbye. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jordy-de-wijs-hull-city-4413508
