Cycling fanatic Boris Johnson is promising £50 repair vouchers as part of his coronavirus crusade to persuade people to get on their bike.

The first vouchers will be available online late on Tuesday in England and the prime minister is also pledging more spending on cycle lanes, training and bikes on prescription from GPs.

The aim of the bike repair vouchers is to encourage people to get their old bicycles out of the shed, fixed and safe to ride, so they cycle to the shops or see friends rather than use public transport.

So NHS costs soar, as we have millions of ****ers riding 2 abreast chatting on 40mph roads, owning the ****ing place.

Get people back to work, disrupt the roads with cyclists, and **** the roads up building more cycle lanes..

And no **** will use them once the weather gets **** anyway...
Great news! They can use that cash to buy insurance & road tax.

Cycling is taking off here - mostly as a hobby/sport but more and more people taking their lives in their hands and cycling in to the office. Main road into city centre is shut every Sunday for 6hrs for bikes, runners and walkers only.

Folding bikes are considered the new status symbol here and the rich want Bromptons. Mrs brought one in with her last time and even after paying import duty at airport made nearly 500 quid on it. Next time she is planning on bringing two.

Garuda - the national airline decided to do it on a much bigger scale by filling the luggage hold of a newly purchased Airbus from France with them and motorbike parts.

I'm a pretty keen road cyclist. I got knocked off a couple of weeks ago and my bike is in a mess now and it's gonna be a huge pain in the ass/wallet to rectify. I think the problem isn't cars necessarily, I quite like cars, it's f*cking drivers who aren't fit to be on the road and that's a hell of a lot of them ...

I went out for a walk last night ... since my bike is f*cked now ... and heading along stretches of main road I was just observing the amount of f*cktards, young lads/'men' mostly - as it's males who are more prone to this sort of stupidity, women have their own form of stupidity in cars, at least as far as I've noticed - in german cars absolutely rinsing them as they came out of side roads or were just on a straight bit. It's really ridiculous and so f*cking dangerous, essentially driving to kill. I honestly think they should raise the age for driving and prohibit young people from owning more powerful vehicles. Of course that's unfair generally as I'm sure there are plenty of younger men, and women, who have these kind of cars and drive them sensibly and not all new/young drivers will do this. They should retest people at set periods as well and road policing needs to be much better. Of course it will never happen because the government and business would be losing out on the insurance money and tax these people are willing to shell out to own these cars, millions of pounds and the costs of everything are too much. But something needs to be done, especially since they're actively encouraging cycling now. And this is without all the regular negligent airhead drivers who just don't f*cking pay attention or know how to use a road properly.

That turned into a rant ... rant over

Yeah they look fun, but some young lads are taking terrible risks on them. Riding in the road in and out of traffic, there could be a huge spike of rta injuries and deaths, very soon.

Think of the savings to the state pension pot, if we kill a few people off early :bandit:

I wouldn't mind having a go on the more decent models, just for a laugh.
about £500 quid....and you need to change the tyres...

i only know this as some knobhead at work bought one....now he's going for full rubber tyres...

plus i guess they are ok if you're about 14.

Some cyclists deserve a little nudge...tbh they deserve to be splattered

I’ve seen some, many, over time riding next to each other on a narrow road or other such examples causing allsorts of issues for the car drivers coming both ways. They have this ‘ive got a cam on my helmet you can’t do anything about my **** riding attitude‘

I’m afraid I have to disagree...I wouldn’t mind seeing a few more cyclists made examples out of.

Lolz, remember seeing one guy end up on a car roof because he was racing through the stationary traffic and forgot about the cars intersecting the main road, a bit further ahead, to get to a minor. I was with my mate...we found it hilarious

Cyclists are allowed to ride side by side.

personally we think every **** who wants to drive a car should be made to ride a bike for a week on the roads before they are given a licence.

allowed side by side fine but I’m sure that’s because common sense is expected to be applied by the cyclist not just the motorist

sorry bro my patience is tested when I’m dragging myself on a single lane at 20mph on a 60 because a few ****s in leotards are side by side selfishly going along their business.

I mean usual etiquette between 2 car drivers on a narrow is you both tuck in and let the other pass by. Cyclists, many, enough for me to remember...just don’t do it. I’ve seen plenty tail backs due to a lack of common sense by the cyclist at the front...your only option is to cut the other lane massively and drive around them if possible

Yeah I agree, road etiquette goes both ways.

if I’m on the road on my bike, I just pull in and let the car past. Everybody’s happy then

I don’t think it’s the rider on his mountain bike or anything...it’s those ****s that think they are on the Tour De France on their drop handles and timers
