But it don't turn out like that it? that bike ponce i used to give a life to, now has to cycle, and he don't speak much to me now cycle you ****.
Anyway, I'm all for Boris ploughing money into bike schemes. I generally think he's a bumbling twat, but you have to give credit if it's something you support.
Initially i'd have both.. But i thing Boris is a trier, nothing more, nothing less.. But he's for cyclists.. So one this one, **** him.....
Theres plenty of people on bikes that are knobs . No lights! Dressed in black ! Go through red lights ! Should be fineds brought in . **** loads of arsehole car drivers to boot
Pretty sure that £50 voucher is for the shops to claim back from Govt to supplement the overall cost of fixing up a bike. And most rusty old clankers in the shed are going to need more that £50 to put them back on the road, so I'm not sure how many bikes will be restored with this scheme. Boris probs would have been better putting that money into subsiding a cycle to work scheme for city centres. Offering new bikes with Govt picking up 25% of the tab or something.
He would have been better of putting it into the NHS and not some poxy pipe dream The country is skint, and this is what he reels out ffs...
It's small beans compared to NHS spending though. That would just get swallowed up in the size of that budget. Although Boris **** at leading a Govt, this is probably one of the things he'll actually do okay with. Sort of job he could have delegated to a junior minister mind.
It's really not though is it? A ****ing pandemic, locking down cities... Country in in crisis...He wants ****ing bike lanes ffs.
It's a sound idea, especially in cities. Get folk out of their cars, which mostly have one person in them driving to work, clogging up the streets.
People driving to work and clogging up towns and cities is a far bigger problem. Social distancing on public transport means they can't run at full capacity either. Cleaner air, fitter people, less money spent on the NHS dealing with fatties and all the related illnesses. It'll be money well spent.
