Because the decision to release 25,000 patients from hospital into care homes (without testing) came squarely from Westminster ... and as a hasty knee jerk to the goverment's concern for the numbers of NHS beds .... in the event, the Nightingale hospitals were erected and never utilised to capacity ... **** up after **** up <ok>
think i read NHS England started routine testing of patients being discharged to Care/Nuesing homes before any of the other UK countries .

NHS England looks after England and NHS Scotland makes all the calls for Scotland.

<laugh>

The Department of Health and Social Care, a government body, issued the directive to release patients from hospital into care homes without testing That the Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish went along with the decision at the time is hardly surprising - Westminster were supposedly consulting with Sage, the 'experts'. Unfortunately, whilst they were consulting with Sage they were listening to Cummings politically filtered take on the expert advice and it was some time later that the regional governments realised that the directives coming out of Westminster were largely from the fart pipes of Bumblers and Bunglers... via Cummings <laugh>

What do you want first the good news or bad news?...

The bad news is that France look in line next to be covid travel banned.

The good news is that Fosse now can't say he wasn't warned <laugh>

France ended the lockdown because of a need to get tourism back up and running right?

worked out well.

worked out well.

Last I heard was Croatia and France, then potentially Germany later. I'm sure there was one other, but can't remember it.

Ooh what a surprise !
Central Gov not responsible for """ ANYTHING """ Shocker
I’ve never said that. I’ve only said BJ is responsible for the health care in England and Sturgeon is responsible for the health care in Scotland.

What is wrong with saying that?

I decided "**** that" to going abroad... figured this was too high a risk...but do kind of feel sorry for those that have taken a punt on it and now face either losing what they paid for the holiday or losing pay by having to take 2 weeks unpaid leave cos it didn't work out.

I feel sorry for anybody that is losing out in anyway with a holiday. I can’t blame anybody for that, we all well aware that restrictions and travel bans/quarantine measures can come in at anytime. We know the risks if we decide to book up.

I wouldn’t take the chance yet, neither.

I think people have been tempted by a bargain and thought **** it

Wherex does the funding come from ?

ye your right Julian

it's cos we don't send shedloads of cash to scotland every single year, if we sent them a few more billions upon billions i reckon not a single scot would ever have caught covid. in fact knowing them they would have cured it by now.

Your point being ?

That kinda doesn’t answer my question...

Where are you going with this? The funds come from central government. NHS Scotland then decides what to do with the dosh. What’s that got to do with Sturgeon being responsible for the **** show in Scotland?

Edit: I’d already answered that last question just before I asked it.
