He works for the BBC mate
Lot of researchers on hand to provide info.

It doesn't help him though, without a complete understanding of how these things work, it's not possible for him to challenge him on the financials during a live interview, he simply won't know when Ehab's bullshitting. He's much better at challenging him on the football side of things, as he's done very well with McCann this week, though that's just resulted in McCann going into hiding.

I like Burnsy, but he’s no David Conn, you can always tell he’s out of his depth on the financial stuff and it’s easy for Ehab to bat him away.

It’s easy for someone like me, who’s run multiple companies for over thirty years, with holding companies etc, but it’s not stuff you’d expect most to be knowledgeable about, not unless they happen to be an accountant.
I have a client who are the solicitors for a L1 club. They had to employ an outside specialist in football (an ex player who is a lawyer) to get to grips with the football contracts. I attended a seminar on football insolvency with them and a leading insolvency firm. The first section was long and complex and all about ownership. The second was about accounts. The speaker said one thing, time and time again. Professional sports clubs within a group holding are nightmare and not for the faint hearted. We went through the administration of Aldershot and it was scary.

Which raises the questions, what DD was done, why the haste to buy the club, when on another thread in response to some of my points, someone suggested if he had waited until the plug was pulled he would have got it without the need to pay off the revenue?

Enough now, best wishes
There wasn't any haste to buy the club. At the time the Allams became involved with City when we were promoted to the PL, purely as a perk or entertainment for their clients at Allam Marine. Probably had a box or where situated within earshot of Russel Bartlett because they were soon asked if they would like to invest in the club ( lend them some money) which they did. Then Barlett came back for more and from there the difference between the loans and actually buying the club was getting closer, so I presume an offer was made and finally accepted.

Assem bought the club for £1, I don't think much negotiation went on.

I don't believe there is a plan. If there was they should be publishing some detail so they might get support from supporters, press, etc. If there is a plan, and it's secret, they shouldn't have said anything in the first place. I think they make it up as they go along. And we all know how that can go...

Not, pooh poohing that, but it is the first time I have heard they attended the KC before becoming owners. As I know no differently, I will accept it.

He did, obviously, but he just took that debt on, he didn't negotiate with Bartlett, it was what it was.
Not sure what you mean by that? Are you implying that he 'just' bought a football Club for a quid and didn't realise there was significant debt attached?Or are you saying he knew there was debt but didn't care how much it was?

If I remember rightly ( not 100% sure ) they knew there was X amounts of debt but later claimed they'd uncovered a further £30 million
