Notice who it is literally the only match ever referenced as well?

In what must be around 80 home games since we were last in the PL, there's only one match that is ever referenced, while the other 79 are ignored...

Exactly , loads of people near me that had obviously never been to City before and had come to see
Chelsea players they usually watch on TV

So the cheap tickets had nothing to do with it ?
FFS you were campaigning for concessions for long enough and when the club finally relented on it for this game, they returned. I remember the very next league game when prices were back to normal, £30 plus to see Preston or someone the crowd was back to normal. Morale of the story, price it right and they will come.

It was because people felt the club were moving forward. Even when we stayed Inthe championship on the last day despite losing a lot of games people still felt connected to the club and the overall direction of travel was a positive one.

It's not as simple as short term results and performances, but pride and identity too.

Yes which just proves what I posted, fans support a winning team no matter what league they are in.

There's only one thing that's going to stop the decline of this club and it's got nothing to do with results.

We've got owners everyone wants rid of, we've got a manger that everyone wants rid of and a squad that everyone thinks is pretty **** and about to get worse. Our priority next season will be staying in League One, while the calamity twins continue to oversee our decline.

A winning team helps, of course it does, but people also need to be able to identify with the club too. At the moment if we have a decent run a lot will see it as temporary because they see the direction the club is ultimately heading. Where were the fans when we were pushing top 6 earlier this season?

You're looking at a piece of the jigsaw and thinking it's the whole picture. It isn't.

By that logic, our highest attendance would've come in 2004/05, when we had the most wins in a season we've had since we moved into the KCOM.

It's quite obvious the ownership is the main reason for the attendance drop, I don't get how you don't understand that.

For the 'price to be right', the club would need to be paying people to attend!

I ****ing loved the great escape. Warren Joyce, Sargent Whittle and Co. What year was that? My memory's **** for that kind of thing.

Escaping the drop to the conference is one of my memories. I think I'm right in saying David Brown was our top goalscorer with 14 thay season.

Unless I'm talking bollocks again :cheesy:

I’ll repeat it - most of the increased number of fans in the KC for that match were not Hull City fans. All the empty seats around me that were occupied for that one match are not people I have ever seen at the KC since it opened. I have sat in the same seat since it opened.
