Great shout with Pickford. Looked class for us, and he was that young you just automatically think "he'll only get better". Had a good first year for Everton iirc, but now looks a shadow of the keeper and not sure he'll ever recapture it. Dare I say it, he might be one of the few times when we actually sold at the right time for peak value. I don't think he's as bad as some make out mind, but I genuinely thought he could be in the discussion about world's best in a few seasons, and now that looks incredibly unlikely.

Easy to say now, lying in my pit, but I thought we got a good deal for him. Still gutted he went.

I was in Utd seats. I was having a laugh for a but as they all up and left only for them to crawl back in when they scored again and it went to penalties. Out of respect for my mate who sorted my seats I was quiet during the shoot out.

I had the highlights on sky+ since the game but lost them when changed to skyQ. Easy enough to find. The bloody final is on sky sports all the bloody time though.

There’s some great hand shot footage from the United fans area of the Sunderland fans, which just goes to show even a club the size and scale of United were staggered at what the were seeing.

I know we could have sold double I knew lads desperately trying and the club kept asking for more.

Was mad really cow none of the home legs in the run got that much interest, we beat Chelsea place was half empty. It suddenly just took off.
