Our current manager divides opinion on the boards. Looking around the Championship, is there a manager that you would prefer to have? IMO there are precious few who I would regard as an improvement on Mr Pearson. Here are the current odds for the next Championship manager to be sacked. Dean Saunders isn't in the list, nor for some reason is Sean Dyche at Watford:
5/1 â Steve McClaren (Nottingham Forest)
5/1 â Simon Grayson (Leeds United)
6/1 â Sven Goran Eriksson (Leicester)
7/1 â Keith Millen (Bristol City)
8/1 â Andy Thorn (Coventry)
10/1 â Paul Jewell (Ipswich)
12/1 â Eddie Howe (Burnley)
14/1 â Keith Hill (Barnsley)
20/1 â Chris Hughton (Birmingha*m City)
20/1 â Brian McDermott (Reading)
20/1 â Dougie Freedman (C.Palace)
20/1 â Darren Ferguson (Peterborough)
20/1 â Malky Mackay (Cardiff City)
25/1 â Nigel Pearson (Hull City)
25/1 â Ian Holloway (Blackpool)
25/1 â Steve Cotterill (Portsmouth)
25/1 â Nigel Clough (Derby)
25/1 â Sam Allardyce (West Ham)
25/1 â Tony Mowbray (Middlesbrough)
25/1 â Kenny Jackett (Millwall)
50/1 â Gus Poyet (Brighton & HA)
50/1 â Nigel Adkins (Southampton)
Its not an awe inspiring list, is it? On that list possibly only Adkins and Poyet stand out for their recent successes.
