I have dropped in and out of this thread and what comes across to me is everyone appreciates their is racism in the world and most try and live their lives and teach their children that is wrong without jumping up and down with the latest slogan or movement.

I also see most on here accept that racism is not a one way street against one particular colour of skin, but to some it appears to me that if you don't fully support blackmlives matter, your somehow a racist and oblivious to their issues.

As someone posted earlier, am I **** apologising for things that happened 200 years ago, the world was a different place and I wasn't even an itch in my great great great grandads pants

What's most annoying is that there are people, posting on here, who really believe they need to convince some of us.

And, if we say we believe there's racism, believe it's the power of their argument that's convinced us.

There's some strange people on the internet.

Actually I've just read the writing back , see I can do it, and it was kittenmittens that I answered. Then this shameless jumps in. Or is it the Fish from the other side???? Very similar posting styles, both of them. Both full of s****.

Eh, say that again

Yes the world is a giant storm alright. All we can do is look after ourselves and loved ones as best we can and hope we get lucky and never directly caught up in any of the ****e.

Good words. When there’s so much sh&t going on , and there always will be, sometimes we need to put it to one side , avoid the news , avoid the outside world. Look no further than the good things in life , the wonders of nature , and appreciate what we have rather than the things we desire.

The working man, in the times of slavery, had his jobs taken away, or his wages pushed down because of the immigrants.
Wages would be suppressed in times of slavery or anywhere where there is/was widespread use of slaves. What else would you expect in a job market where some people were made to work for nothing? In some parts of the world where girls are trafficked I'd imagine the local hookers might be a bit pissed off too

Whereas both slave and working man are in a pretty ****ty position its a bit of an push to say the working man suffered because of slavery

Still waiting. Ran out of paint?

That's exactly what I'd expect which is why I said it.

Once again you're seeing what you want to see because you're coming from a jaundiced entrenched stance.

My point is that the working man wasn't to blame for slavery then, and isn't to blame now.

Working people suffered because of slavery, so there's no reason to feel guilty or be told that 'silence is violence'.

The BLM people, and anyone else, suggesting otherwise can shove it up their arse.

Your Grandad had absolutely nothing to do with slavery mate.

A tiny minority, with a huge percentage of the wealth, were 100% responsible ...

... and that's a fact.

I'd like @Shameless to give an opinion as to whether a 15 year old girl sitting at a train station may end up with prejudicial views after having the **** kicked out of her by a group of dark skinned assailants purely because she was white?

If she does, is she justified because of her own experiences or is she basing her opinions on what is or isn't reported in the media?

Here's the footage again in case you missed it last time...

And thank God for his love

This terrible and tragic
Are you saying 'look at this, this was a racist attack committed by black people', I won't disagree except I'm not sure what you're driving at, eg
- Some people are twats
- Some people are black, therefore
- Some black people are twats

What else is there to say?
