I've got complete sympathy with the officials, because this is a totally unexpected event. GLT is meant to be accurate, and hence VAR shouldn't be needed to over rule it. But after that, maybe in the future, it will be agreed that VAR can trump GLT in extreme circumstances.

 

Something appears to have gone wrong here but goal line technology has been a roaring success overall so you really can't take that stance.
