Yeah VAR probably should have intervened - I think it just caught everyone by complete surprise and by the time anyone realised it was too late.
 
They've said the goal line technology will now be working for the 2nd half.

What an absolute farce

Does that mean that it wasn’t switched on? :emoticon-0104-surpr

Do the officials/someone in authority not check that the system is actually working as it should, prior to starting the match?
And have we now become so accustomed to, what is generally a foolproof system working that the linesman no longer looks out for the ball crossing the line? There was clear daylight between the keeper’s hand and the goalpost.
