Season 2 of STID was the same. Every time he thinks fans might’ve forgiven him he’s at the door with a bunch of petrol station daffs begging for another chance.

Good analogy. I really don't want to see another transfer window with Donald in charge.

It was definitely proposed as a takeover initially. Hell, Stewart Donald's own words were that they agreed a price! Why would you agree a price for a takeover if you always just wanted to offer this loan and never had any intention of taking over?

Donald speaks in half truths at the best of times. As a guess the price might not have altered, £40m at the start and £40m at the end, but if in the meantime they realised there was a £20m hole (as suggested in the papers) then that could easily make them walk away even though, technically, the asking price is the same, it just isn't coming with £20m quid still to be paid back

So there you go, as plain as can be ....

... Donald agreed a price and a deal for FPP to takeover.

Why would FPP get to that point if they had no intentions.

It's like agreeing a price and a deal on a car you've no intention of buying, just to fill your time in.

"The price never altered other than if you like the market rates"
What the hell does that mean it's just random words

My reading of that statement is that the price did change

Agree with your sentiments. Peoples health comes first, but I'd rather they restarted this season when it was safe to do so, then either bin next season altogether, or have a scenario, where teams only played each other once next season, so you would play 12 at home and 11 away or vice versa. That way the clubs would be rightly rewarded for their endeavours this season.
