We beat Everton 3-0 inside a packed SOL, securing safety in the Prem for another year and sending the Mags down in the process.
Watching these Videos of the team that Sam was building, and seeing the passion from the supporters is very depressing to say the least.
A lot of us were expecting the good old days to return after that night, and for the first time for years we had real reason for optimism.

How wrong we all were hey...

I'll have to watch that later, I'm not emotionally capable of it right now.

What a night though!

The middle video got to me the most, seeing the quality of players we had celebrating on the pitch holding their kids. Mvilla, Khazri, Defoe and van aanholt to name but a few.
How could Moyes feck all it up up so badly and then try and make out that none of it was his fault. :emoticon-0121-angry.

Cheers for that. Thoroughly depressed now. I'd pay that little lass top dollar for that Mvilla shirt like. I'd save long term in therapist fees.

great night like 1990 play offs a shame we did not get in about 3 quality players after that, Short was a disaster like Murray and the ones following suit, it must come down to the players also. i doubt i will see us play in the premier league again, but 10 consecutive years there and 6 on the trot against them, which will never go.

Watched it with my mag mate he left when we went 3-0 up.

Wish we could to back to that time now and employ different people.

Proper crossroad after that game and we took the wrong road.

I still like Short and feel for him he wanted the best for us and tried spending loads.

Just got the piss taken out of him by people he hired.

That is definitely how it came across in STID. He clearly had the clubs interests at heart, hence writing off the debt.

Havent seen series 2 yet like dont know if can watch it lol

I genuinely believe that if Sam had stayed, Short would have backed him and he’d still be here, we’d be a half decent Premier club now.

Sam leaving was the straw that broke his back.

The timing of the whole England situation and us having a decent first team with optimism is just typical Sunderland.
