Morning all. A lovely bright morning, but the forecast says to expect heavy rain and storms this afternoon. Several days rain has been expected, but didn't arrive, although friends to the west of here did see some. Need to make a trip out to the baker this morning, as our bread machine is not stocked on a Monday, so over the border to the little Spar supermarket who do some limited amount of baking in store. I do miss the baker who retired last year as he produced the best bread of all the outlets.
No news from our Canary this morning. Hope he is alright. Have a good day whatever you are doing. <ok>

Sleep well Dave. I had meant to ask you about Mike Walker when he managed the Canaries. Having played with distinction at Watford he did very well at Carrow Road, before a fall out with Robert Chase I think. He had a second spell with you, but I think that was his last spell in football. Any thoughts on him?

Mike Walker took over a very talented team from Dave Stringer and moved them up a notch or two..

It fell apart when Everton came knocking and Robert Chase refused them permission to talk to him.

As always happens his head was turned and the rest is history <grr>

Any idea what happened to him after his second spell at the club as he seems to have left football behind?

Morning all. Weather very uncertain at the moment. Quite a stiff breeze, so one minute there is cloud and the next bright sunshine. Friends have been trying to sort out some of their "it might be useful one day" things stored in their barn. They report that they have saved items for so long now that they do not even know what they are anymore. I really need to move on some of the beds we have stored as they are taking up a lot of room. In addition to the ones that we brought with us there were the ones that we inherited when we bought the house. Trouble is at present nowhere is able to collect or take them in, so digging them out can be left for another time. Have a good day whatever you are intending to do. <ok>

Rate rising here, but not as quickly as in Europe. I have no doubt this is due to incredibly limited testing.

Beer has run out in local shops as production stopped in the factories. Now, things are getting a bit more heated.

Raining as I write this, so at least the heat might calm down a bit. If it doesn't rain properly mind, it just heats things more as the ground acts as a steam producer.

    Take care all!

Morning, Dave; morning, yorkie; morning, all. :)

Macbeth Act 5 awaits. We did Scene 1 yesterday - “The Mad Scene”. Scene 2 was fairly non-eventful. Full breakdown of the rest of the play this morning with Matej. Then a full breakdown of me this afternoon. :emoticon-0107-sweat

Morning all. Really very windy here today, but I don't believe it has anything to do with the amount of cucumber and radish I ate last night. Not often that you get to see a politician receive a standing ovation in Parliament, but that happened to the PM in the French one yesterday after he gave a lengthy speech on the next steps to come very carefully out of the current lockdown. Quite strange however to see the chamber so empty with the parties asked to nominate their representatives to attend. Lots of discussion doing the rounds about how some of the measures will work, especially with schools, but no real moans. Some people in England seem to think that their holiday in the south will be taking place, but for some reason I would suggest they forget it for this year. Have a calm day and enjoy the rain if you need it and get some. <ok>

Oh don't get me started. Lipton's yellow label tea, it cannot be remotely described as tea. American's & Europeans should not be allowed to make Tea, they have no idea of the concept of boiling water or how to brew a proper cup of tea. American Tea is worse than American coffee!
