Good morning all... ... And sorry I missed your birthday Dave... ... Have a great two days after your birthday!!
Morning all. Wet again, but very mild. I have to dash to catch the post and will pick up some cheese as the stockpiles are growing and we need to reduce them. It seems that Belgium has a similar problem, not with cheese but frozen chips. I did once go to a farm that had a huge barn full of potatoes that looked well past their sell by date. Not for sale as potatoes to boil or roast I was told, but to go to the manufacturers of crisps. Never been too keen on them since. Have a good day whatever is on your menu.
I think - and hope - that they were pulling your leg. The manufacture of crisps requires fresh potatoes, no more than 24 hours old - or so I've been told. Any older and the crisps would be covered in black spots.

please log in to view this image You may remember a little while back I was talking about a wolf, or wolves coming through the area here and they were being tracked north, well this splendid creature was spotted just south of Dieppe. Not much further it can go unless it works out how to use a dinghy.
Have just seen the names chosen for BoJo's latest sprog - Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas. He surely must be joking - shortened, they make the question on everyone's lips - Wil Law Nick Johnson. How crazy is he?
How appreciative of Boris to honour the doctors that helped save his life by naming his son after them.
Morning all. Cloudy but dry and mild. Will I make it down the fields today? Certainly will need the wellies if I try. My monthly lunch group have just had a video link chat, although under normal circumstances we would not have met for a couple of weeks. One of the group was due to come back from Northern Ireland this week. It is on hold as he doesn't want to try and then find he gets turned back. Meanwhile there is not a soul to be seen here, although I expect my young friend from Paris will be down the lane shortly with his mobile phone as he gets a better signal away from the houses. Have a good day whatever you plan to do.
