I think - and hope - that they were pulling your leg. The manufacture of crisps requires fresh potatoes, no more than 24 hours old - or so I've been told. Any older and the crisps would be covered in black spots.Morning all. Wet again, but very mild. I have to dash to catch the post and will pick up some cheese as the stockpiles are growing and we need to reduce them. It seems that Belgium has a similar problem, not with cheese but frozen chips. I did once go to a farm that had a huge barn full of potatoes that looked well past their sell by date. Not for sale as potatoes to boil or roast I was told, but to go to the manufacturers of crisps. Never been too keen on them since. Have a good day whatever is on your menu.![]()

I couldn't even say half of that, nevermind cook them...We were to have a family curry and quiz night at our house tonight... not possible of course.....so all prepped up for a zoom session.... and Yorkie has spent the past twenty four hours cooking and prepping:
Nine dhals
Nine veg curries
18 chapatti
Raita for nine
three chicken coconut curries
four fish cocout curries
four paneer and spinach curries
9 carrot halva
9 ground rice and cardoman sweets
Then we have added in 27 indian starters --- shop delivered.
Then we make a quick circuit in the car a little later..... and this evening all will 'meet up' for curry and quiz night.....
PHEW!

Have just seen the names chosen for BoJo's latest sprig - Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas. He surely must be joking - shortened, they make the question on everyone's lips -
Wil
Law
Nick
Johnson.
How crazy is he?
Have a good one...Good morning all from a cool and dry Weston-super-Mare!
